New Fright Night Remake movie delivered lots of great thrills, action & more
Dreamworks Pictures released their new horror flick “Fright Night” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and I thought it was way better than I originally thought it would be. Colin Farrell did a great job playing the evil vamp, and the plot was really intense. I wasn’t expecting that. The movie stars: Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, David Tennant, Imogen Poots, and Toni Collette.
In the flick, Charlie Brewster’s (Anton Yelchin) best friend Ed (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) tries to convince him that the guy next door named Jerry (Colin Farrell) is really a very dangerous vampire. Unfortunately, Charlie shuns him off,and tells him he needs to grow up.
However, when Ed comes up missing, all of a sudden, Charlie starts getting suspicious, and gets tipped off that Ed may have been right about Jerry. He notices strange behavior from him,and the last straw comes when he hears a lady screaming at Jerry’s house one night.
Eventually, Charlie sees the proof for himself after sneaking into Jerry’s house, but what he doesn’t know, is Jerry knew he snuck in,and is plotting his demise. Everything all comes to a head when Jerry sets fire to Charlie’s house with Charlie inside of it,along with his mother and girlfriend.
After that, they go on a high speed car chase to get away from the Jerry vamp who’s after them. Then Charlie finally gets the help of proclaimed vampire slayer star Peter Vincent (David Tennant) after getting rejected at first. They both team up to put an end to Jerry’s evil, vampire shenanigans once and for all,and stop him from creating more vamps like him. It all comes together in a highly suspenseful conclusion.
I thought the movie was highly interesting and fun to watch. It offered some pretty good comedy, along with very intense horror scenes. I originally thought it would actually be more funny than scary, but they really delivered on the thriller scenes, and offered up a pretty unique vampire plot.
Christopher Mintz-Plasse from the funny “Superbad” movie delivered good comedy, while Colin Farrell made for a really twisted vampire. I gave the movie an A grade. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here. Follow us on Twitter by Clicking Here.
