New ‘Warrior’ movie delivered great drama, fighting action & more. Lionsgate released their new action/drama flick “Warrior” into theaters this weekend. I just got through watching it,and I thought it was very good as Batman 3’s Tom Hardy showed a lot of intensity in this very passionate fight movie. It stars: Joel Edgerton, Tom Hardy, Jennifer Morrison, Nick Nolte, Maximiliano Hernandez, Frank Grillo, and Erik “Bad” Apple.

In the flick, character Tommy Conlon (Tom Hardy) returns home for the first time in fourteen years, and eventually decides to he wants to do some MMA fighting again. Meanwhile, his brother Brendan Conlon (Joel Edgerton) has started MMA fighting again because he doesn’t make enough money as a teacher to pay his mortgage bills.

Unfortunately, for Brendan, his fighting activities get frowned upon by the school, and land him in suspension without pay, forcing him to fight full-time again. Tommy decides he wants to fight in a big MMA tournament with a grand prize of $5 million dollars,so he can donate it to a widow of a military buddy of his he saw die while on duty.

Eventually, Brendan also enters the same MMA tournament with the hopes of winning the money,so he can keep his house. Tommy enters the tournament as an unknown, but quickly makes himself known with his intense fighting style. Brendan enters the tournament as a known fighter, but very much an underdog as his past career wasn’t all that great.

The film concludes with a lot emotional moments as the two fighters prove they belong in the tournament by overcoming all odds to meet in the finals where they lay it all down on the line to do what they feel they need to do.

I really enjoyed watching the film. It was filled with a lot of raw, intense emotion, and passion, mixed with some good fighting and action footage. It delivered those feel-good moments that you get when you see the underdog battle it out and win. I gave the movie a good B+ grade. Follow us on Facebook by Clicking Here.
