New ‘Magic Mike’ Movie Delivered Great Drama,Laughs & More
New ‘Magic Mike’ movie delivered great drama, laughs & more. Warner Bros. Pictures released their new comedy/drama flick “Magic Mike” into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out,and I thought it was pretty entertaining as it served up a lot of good laughs, and more. It stars: Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Cody Horn, Olivia Munn, Matt Bomer, Riley Keough, Joe Mangianello, Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez, and Gabriel Iglesias.
The new flick was based on the true story of character Magic Mike (Channing Tatum),who meets 19 year old Adam (Alex Pettyfer) when they both work a roofing construction site. Eventually, they become pretty good friends, and Mike introduces him to the world of stripping,so he can make some good cash.
Mike is steadily trying to get out of the business with his other, little, side jobs and saving up lots of his money. He also promises Adam’s sister Brooke that he’ll take care of Adam, and not let anything bad happen to him.
Unfortunately, Adam gets caught up in dealing drugs, and gets irresponsible with it,and loses about $10,000 worth of it, causing Mike to have to clear out nearly all of his savings to pay the suppliers off.
Mike eventually realizes that the stripping business isn’t where he should be focusing his energies, and decides to get out of the business, which leads to a happy conclusion between him and Adam’s sister Brooke, who he developed feelings for.
Again, the movie was a lot better than I thought it would be. It delivered a lot of laughs and good drama. Tatum showed off his old “Step Up” dance moves on the stripper stage. Matthew McConaughey was hilarious as the hustling strip club manager/dancer,and all the ladies should like the buff naked men in this.
