New Grey’s Anatomy Season 14 Is Hinted To Be Vintage & More, New Details

According to a new report from the People’s Choice website, one of Grey’s Anatomy’s main stars Kevin McKidd aka Dr. Owen Hunt hopped on his official Twitter account to reply to a question that one of the fans asked him regarding the new season. The fan asked him, “What can we expect from this year’s season premiere.” Kevin replied with, “It’s fantastic, funny and feels like vintage @GreysABC …”

So, it sounds like the show could possibly revisit some of its earlier days when it first started. Adding to the likeliness of this possibility is the fact that the show is bringing back one of the original executive producers/head writers Krista Vernoff.

It was reported back on Thursday, July 27,2017, that Krista is going to spearhead the new 14th season. She was the head writer for the show in seasons one through seven. She’s taking over for Stacy McKee. They decided to move Stacy over to Shonda Rhimes new spinoff series “Firefighter.” Stacy will be helming that whole project. So, it sounds like things worked out great for both of these ladies. It’s also reported that Krista is working closely with Shonda Rhimes and her TV partner Betsy Beers.

In related news, it was also revealed earlier last week that the cast shot new scenes in Seattle ,Washington. They usually shoot in Los Angeles,California, but it appears that they’re shooting something special this season.

According to Entertainment Weekly, they’re not just filming scenes for the season 14 premiere but also for multiple exterior scenes to be used throughout the season. They’re supposed to continue filming back in Los Angeles this week.

Some of the castmembers that were spotted on the Seattle set are: Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey), Justin Chambers (Alex Karev), Kevin McKidd (Owen Hunt), Chandra Wilson (Miranda Bailey), Jesse Williams (Jackson Avery), Jason George (Ben Warren), and Camilla Luddington (Jo Wilson).

Additionally, Debbie Allen was spotted out there. She is an executive producer for the show and also plays character Dr. Catherine Avery from time to time. The season 14 premiere is set to debut on Thursday night, September 28,2017 at 7pm central time on ABC. Stay tuned.
