New Grey’s Anatomy Season 14 Premiere Teasers Revealed By Main Castmembers
According to a new report from Peopleschoice.com, a couple of the main stars of ABC’s hit drama “Grey’s Anatomy” gave a few spoiler teasers for what we can expect to see take place in the much anticipated season 14 premiere episode that’s due to arrive at the end of next month.
The first set of teasers come from actress Kelly McCreary (above right) who plays Dr. Maggie Pierce on the show. They say she recently told Entertainment Weekly that the new season is going to start off right where season 13 ended. That’s right. With the big explosion and everything!
She stated, “There’s obviously some damage to the hospital. But it is, in true Grey’s Anatomy style, a completely surmountable obstacle because we are superhuman doctors. It serves more as a metaphor of the transformation that the show is going to go through tonally.”
Kelly also teased that there will also be some lighter moments in the premiere even though they’re starting things off with all the dangerous drama that season 13 ended on. She stated, “It’s lighter this season. The hospital definitely is undergoing some changes in the form of a new crop of students coming in. It’ll look a bit different in certain areas and some relationships have come to an end or are blossoming. So, repairing the damage is more of a metaphor.”
They also mentioned that Jessica Capshaw (above left) who plays Dr. Arizona Robbins revealed some details about the premiere to E! News while on the red carpet at some event. She too said it will have some very funny moments stating, “It’s very funny. It’s very irreverent and funny and sort of on its side.” She also said that it’ll have a similar feel to the first and second seasons. Speaking about her character, she said Arizona will be in a state of “what do I do now” since her girlfriend Eliza Minnick got fired.
In related news, they’re bringing Andrew Deluca’s sister on to shake things up. She has a special profession. Some of the other doctors will like her, but some will have a bit of a problem with her. The last time we reported about this, we didn’t know the actress or the character’s name yet.
Since then, it has been revealed that they’ve casts Sicilian-born actress Stefania Spampinato to come on and portray the role. The character’s name is Carina DeLuca.
Andrew Deluca star Giacomo Gianniotti gave a brief description of her to Entertainment Tonight stating, “She is going to be a new presence at the hospital. She comes from Italy as my character is Italian. You get to see us exchanging some blows in Italian which will be very interesting.”
Next, he talked about her profession stating, “Her profession, although we can’t disclose it, is a very interesting one. It’s going to keep a lot of the doctors on their toes, make some doctors uncomfortable and some people will be glad about her coming on. She’ll stir things up with a European background and take on medicine.”
