‘Riverdale’ Season 2’s Next New Episode 18 Is Currently Delayed For A While
Hey, fellow Riverdale fans. We’re sure that most of you guys were wondering where in the hell was the new episode 18 last night? Unfortunately, it turned out to be a rerun of episode 13 which of course already aired earlier this season.
Yeah, for some reason, the next,new episode 18 has been delayed for quite some time, but not extremely long. It’s not going to air next Wednesday night either. It’s currently scheduled to hit the airwaves on Wednesday night, April 18, 2018 in it’s usual 7 pm central time slot. So, be sure to mark that important date down on your TV calendars.
What is The CW airing instead of Riverdale next week? According to the TV Guide listings, they will be airing a special Harry Potter show. It’s titled, “Harry Potter: A History of Magic.” It will apparently take up most of the primetime duration with a runtime of an hour and a half. It’s going to air from 7 pm to 8:30 pm central standard time.
Right after that, The CW will air another special in that 8:30 pm to 9:00 pm central time slot. It’s called, “Masters of Illusion.” The official description for that show reads like this, “Dancing Broomstick, Fast Coins, and One Giant Buzzsaw. Cutting-edge illusionists, escape artists and performers display their skills. Appearing: Billy Kidd, Xavier Mortimer, Jarrett and Raja, Nathan Burton, Chris Korn, Leon Etienne and Greg Gleason.”
This show is in it’s 4th season and this will be the 7th episode for it. If any of you guys are a Harry Potter fan or a fan of magic, you might want to still tune into the CW to catch these special events. If not, you’ll definitely want to make other arrangements for that night.
The CW did put out a press release for the upcoming “Riverdale” episode 18 of this current season 2. It gives us a brief teaser description of the episode along with a title. It’s entitled, “Chapter Thirty-One: A Night to Remember.”
The press release also put in all-caps: “RIVERDALE HIGH PRESENTS “CARRIE THE MUSICAL.” So, it sounds very interesting already. The official main description reads like this,”As Riverdale High begins rehearsals for its upcoming production of “Carrie the Musical,” the arrival of an ominous letter forces director Kevin (Casey Cott) to make a difficult decision about the show.
Jughead (Cole Sprouse) uses his cover as the musical’s documentarian to solve the mystery behind the letter. Meanwhile, tensions between Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) continue to escalate just as Alice (Madchen Amick) announces she is joining the musical to spend more time with Betty.
Elsewhere, Hiram (Mark Consuelos) enacts a devious plan to further drive a wedge between Fred (Luke Perry) and Archie (KJ Apa), while Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) channels Carrie White during a showdown with her mother. Marisol Nichols, Ashleigh Murray and Skeet Ulrich also star. Jason Stone directed the episode, and it was written by Arabella Anderson & Tessa Leigh Williams.”
That part about Cheryl having a showdown with her mother sounds particularly interesting considering the hell she just put Cheryl through. I hope Cheryl makes her go through the same type of torture. The part about Veronica and Betty having more tensions sounds like it could give us some very dramatic scenes to look forward to as well.
In addition to the press release, The CW also released a new preview clip for episode 18. It features some very interesting scenes. At one point, Cheryl’s awful mother is seen telling Cheryl, “This revenge fantasy. It’s never gonna happen.” I hope she’s wrong because I want Cheryl to get some major revenge on her.
It also shows the students of Riverdale High rehearsing for the big musical. Betty is seen telling Veronica that she’s a spoiled rich girl with major daddy issues! And as you can imagine, Veronica doesn’t like that at all.
Archie is seen having a major confrontation with Hiram Lodge. He tells him, “don’t try to get between me and my dad.” The clips caps off with a lot of screaming. A very threatening letter is found. It looks like episode 18 could turn really intense, and offer quite a few thrillers. You guys can view the new preview clip for episode 18 over on Youtube by Clicking Here.
The CW also released a lot of promotional photos for episode 18. Veronica, Betty, Chery,Archie, Jughead and Kevin are featured in them. There’s a lot of footage of them rehearsing for their musical.
