New ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 14, May 10, 2018 Episode 23 Storyline Teasers Revealed By ABC
Happy Friday “Grey’s Anatomy” fans. ABC aired the 22nd episode of this current season 14 last night May 3, 2018. That means it’s time for us to take a look at what they have in store for the next, new episode 23. ABC recently put out their official press release for it. As usual, it gives us a title, a short teaser description, any guest stars and regular castmembers that will be appearing in it.
The title for episode 23 is revealed to be, “Cold As Ice.” It certainly sounds like an interesting title. ABC started off their press release by putting these words in all caps: “THE DOCTORS AT GREY SLOAN RALLY AROUND ONE OF THEIR OWN.”
It sounds like some pretty serious and dramatic stuff will take place in this installment as one of the doctors gets badly hurt! Dr. Nicole Herman returns to the scene with very interesting news for Arizona and more.
We’ll go ahead and start off this teaser session with the injured doctor storyline. It turns out that one of the doctors will incur a very serious injury that’s so bad it causes the team to take a look at what’s really important. ABC’s description tells us, “One of Grey Sloan Memorial’s own is seriously injured, making the team reflect on what is truly important to them.”
Who is it and what injury did they get? Those are a couple of big questions we expect to see get answered in this episode.
The second storyline teaser reveals that Arizona is about to get news of a new opportunity from a face from the past Dr. Nicole Herman. ABC’s description tells us, “Nicole Herman pays a visit to Grey Sloan and talks to Arizona about an exciting opportunity.”
We suspect that this so-called “exciting” opportunity will be the set up for Arizona’s exit from the show. As previously reported, Arizona’s portrayer Jessica Capshaw and April Kepner’s portrayer Sarah Drew have both been written out of the show due to reported “creative” reasons. Since this is the second to last episode of this season, it’s highly expected that her exit would be coming soon.
ABC also released a new preview clip for episode 23. It reveals some very important, new intel. It turns out that Dr. April Kepner is the one that gets severely injured! She’s seen being rushed to the emergency room. At one point, Meredith is seen trying to revive April and shouting , “We’re not gonna lose her!”
After that, Alex is seen asking Meredith,”What is it?” Then Meredith just breaks down into tears. It looks really sad guys. Jackson is seen rushing into April’s emergency room towards the end of the clip. Yep, it turns out they’re actually going to kill off April. So, she’ll never be able to possibly return! ABC also released some promotional photos for episode 23. A lot of them feature Arizona and Amelia in action. A few of them show Alex in some new scenes. Episode 23 will feature a few guest stars. They are: Geena Davis as character Nicole Herman, Justin Bruening as character Matthew Taylor, Jake Borelli as character Levi Schmitt, Alex Blue Davis as character Casey Parker, Rushi Kota as character Vik Roy, Sophia Ali Taylor as character Dahlia Qadri and Jaicy Elliot as character Taryn Helm.
The season regulars that are showing up in this episode are: Ellen Pompeo as character Meredith Grey, Justin Chambers as character Alex Karev, Chandra Wilson as character Miranda Bailey, James Pickens Jr. as character Richard Webber, Kevin McKidd as character Owen Hunt, Jessica Capshaw as character Arizona Robbins, Jesse Williams as character Jackson Avery, Sarah Drew as character April Kepner, Caterina Scorsone as character Amelia Shepherd, Camilla Luddington as character Jo Wilson, Kelly McCreary as character Maggie Pierce and Giacomo Gianniotti as character Andrew DeLuca.
Episode 23 was written by Bill Harper, and it was directed by Bill D’Elia. It’s confirmed that episode 23 is scheduled to air next Thursday night, May 10, 2018 in the usual 7 pm central time slot on ABC. Stay tuned.
