Grey’s Anatomy Ellen Pompeo Aka Meredith Revealed Possible Devastating News For The Show

Hey, “Grey’s Anatomy” fans. We’ve got some possible, terrible future news to share with you guys in this article. Recently, the folks over at Us Weekly.com interviewed Grey’s Anatomy’s main lady Ellen Pompeo aka Meredith Grey. They brought up the topic again about when the show could possibly end.

In past interviews, Ellen said she wasn’t looking to quit the show anytime soon which according to producer Shonda Rhimes means that the show wouldn’t end anytime soon. But now, Ellen is singing a bit of a different tune. Apparently, she’s thinking a break might be needed so she can spend more time with her kids. She also told them that they are getting closer to an ending!

Ellen stated when asked about a possible Grey’s Anatomy ending, “We’re getting there. Shonda and I will make that decision together. I think that one of the biggest lessons that this show has taught me and being on this show for so long has taught me, is that relationships do change. And they do grow. They take work.

Like any marriage, friendship, you gotta put in the work. You have to accept other people’s flaws, and accept your own flaws and try to change and be a better person. But I think everything is worth the time and effort. And things get better.”

After that, Ellen went on to tell them, “There is an end and it’s nearing. I want to be more involved in my kids’ lives as they get older. And they need me more, and this world is such a crazy place.”

From there, Ellen went on to reveal that she would like to work more behind-the-scenes after she’s done with Grey’a Anatomy. She stated, “I am really into producing, I love producing. It’s like one problem after another. It’s problem-solving 101. It’s like a great experiment in problem-solving. Acting is … it’s a young girl’s game. You’ve gotta travel. You’ve gotta be away. You’ve gotta go here and work at night in the rain. I’m not saying I’ll never do it. If there’s an amazing opportunity I’m sure of course I’ll do it.”

Ellen also commented on the recent cuts that took place on Grey’s Anatomy in regards to Sarah Drew aka April Kepner and Jessica Capshaw aka Arizona Robbins. She said it’s very devastating everytime they lose a castmember.

She stated,”I think showrunner Krista Vernoff‘s done an incredible job. The cast changes. I can’t imagine was an easy decision for her to make. And certainly wasn’t easy for the girls. But, I had to just try to support everybody. Be as supportive as I can be and think about other people before myself. Think about the girls. Listen, everybody we lose on the show. Every time we lose someone, it’s devastating.

We are a family and it’s super awkward. It’s not like films where you work for three months, and you’re not going to see the people, or you’ll see them at the junket and that’s it. You know, we really are together, through births, through deaths. Every day, sickness and health. It’s an odd family that we’re thrown together with. So, when these things happen, there’s a lot of tumult. Inside, there’s chaos and feelings, sadness and anger, and it’s a lot to deal with.”

During this article, US Weekly also pointed out that Ellen is currently partnering up with Young Living Essential Oils to launch its new Seedlings line of baby care products. So, Ellen is definitely a very busy lady outside of the Grey’s Anatomy set.

As of right now, she is currently signed to do at least two more years of Grey’s Anatomy provided that ABC renews it for that long. As previously reported, ABC did already renew it for a new 15th season. So, that’s one of the two years that’s guaranteed. We shall see what the future has in store.
