Some Big Brother Houseguests Revealed For Next Amazing Race Season 31
Hey, fellow Big Brother fans. Some more exciting news has come up for the Big Brother world. As we previously reported, the next season of Amazing Race which will be season 31 is bringing on a couple of former Big Brother houseguests to compete as teams. According to a report from TMZ, they’re supposed to just be competing against other former Big Brother houseguests. However, the folks over at realityblurred.com said it would be a mixture of former Big Brother houseguests and former Amazing Race contestants.
We’re still not sure which story is true, but TMZ has recently revealed a couple of the Big Brother houseguests that will be competing. First up, former season 13 Big Brother winner Rachel Reilly is coming back. This will be her third, freaking time to compete on the Amazing Race.
She recently appeared on seasons 20 and 24 with her hubby Brendon Villegas who is also a Big Brother season 12 and 13 alum. There’s currently no word on who Rachel will be competing with in the Amazing Race this time around. It’s highly possible it could be Brendon again. We just don’t know yet. Also noted, Rachel first appeared on Big Brother in season 12 where she obviously didn’t do as well.
Next, TMZ revealed that Caleb Reynolds who appeared on that God-awful season 16 of Big Brother will compete in this latest season of Amazing Race. You guys remember season 16, right? It’s the one where the winner Derrick Levasseur totally manipulated everyone to the point where it was just almost unwatchable. It’s the one with Franke Grande claiming he was a social media mogul. Yeah, that one. Anyways, since Caleb’s Big Brother appearance, he has gone on to compete on seasons 32 and 34 of Survivor. It’s also not yet known who Caleb will be teaming up with for the Amazing Race.
Next, TMZ revealed a couple of former Big Brother houseguests and who they’re partnered with. The first Big Brother team they mentioned is Asian James Huling from Big Brother seasons 17 and 18. He’s going to be teamed up with Corey Brooks from season 18 of Big Brother. TMZ’s sources say that James and Corey have decided to name their team “Tejas Tacos.”
Filming for Amazing Race season 31 is scheduled to take place in Papua New Guinea which is some overseas location. Filming for Amazing Race season 31 is supposed to start at the end of May 2018. So, it looks like the show will probably air in the Fall 2018 this time. We’ll have to wait and see to be sure though.
The next two Big Brother houseguests are ones you guys should be very familiar with. They are last season 19’s winner and runner-up Paul Abrahamian and Josh Martinez. Josh of course beat out Paul when the jury decided to award Josh the victory after they found out Paul played them to the max. TMZ confirmed that they will definitely be teaming up for the Amazing Race. So, that should be interesting.
Currently, those are all the Big Brother houseguests that have been reported to appear on the upcoming Amazing Race season. However, it’s certainly possible there’s more. We’ll just have to wait and see. Again, it’s still unclear if this is a season of only Big Brother houseguests or if they’re going to mix them with former Amazing Race contestants. We got two different stories from two different sources. So, who knows for sure?
How do you guys feel about the current Big Brother houseguests that have been selected For the Amazing Race season 31 so far? Are you happy about it? Are you sad? Or do you just not care one way or the other? Let us know in the Facebook comments.
If this latest Amazing race season does premiere in the fall of 2018, that means we’ll sort of get a double-dose of Big Brother since it’ll debut right after the upcoming 20th season of Big Brother which wraps up in September 2018.
Speaking of season 20, we recently reported that CBS announced the premiere date for it. It’s schedule to start airing on Wednesday night, June 27, 2018 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on CBS. The TV schedule will feature three episodes a week on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. On Wednesdays, the show will air at 7 pm central standard time. However, starting on July 4, 2018, the Wednesday night episodes will air at 8 pm central standard time.
The Thursday night live eviction shows will air at 8 pm central standard time, and the Sunday episodes will air at 7 pm central standard time. Recently, the folks over at Big Brother network revealed that the casting director Robyn Kass hopped on her official Twitter account this past weekend to reveal that all the semi-finalists for the upcoming season 20 have been contacted. She wrote, “Thanks to all the amazing #BB20 applicants! All semi finalists have been contacted. Looking forward to a great season!”
So, it won’t be long now before we finally get the reveal of the new cast! As previously reported, executive producer Allison Grodner revealed that season 20 will feature an entirely new cast with no returning players. So, that news alone sounds like they’re off to a very good start. Hopefully, we won’t get a bunch of sheep in this season.
