‘Pretty Little Liars: Perfectionists’ Mona Star Janel Parrish Dished New, Very Important Details About The Show
Hey, “Pretty Little Liars” fans. We’ve got some pretty interesting new intel to share with you guys in regards to the new “Perfectionists” spin off courtesy of the Mona Vanderwaal star herself Janel Parrish! She recently spoke with the folks over at Accessonline.com about “The Perfectionists” and dished out a few, very important details. Apparently, there’s going to be a definite timeline jump and more.
First, Janel started out by revealing she’s very excited to be playing her villain character Mona Vanderwaal again. Then she revealed some very important storyline scoops. It turns out that there’s going to be a timeline jump, and Mona will be a little more older and seasoned. Janel explained, “It feels very familiar to me, but it’s also a fun change. It’s a couple years later. We have a little bit of a time jump. Mona’s a little bit older, a little bit wiser, a little bit more grounded. But she’s still Mona. So, it’s fun playing a character I know so well, but I’m also still sort of learning more about her as well.”
At one point during their interview, Janel dished on what it’s like to work with actress Sofia Carson, who is playing one of the main characters on The Perfectionists Ava Jalali. Janel had some very good things to say about Sofia. She thinks Sofie is very sweet and hardworking. Janel stated of Sofia, “She’s so sweet and so hardworking and just so beautiful inside and out.”
Accessoline also pointed out that Janel commented about possibly seeing other original “Pretty Little Liars” cast members join the spin off. Like the fans of Pretty Little Liars, Janel definitely hopes to see some of her other former castmates end up joining the show! She stated, “I hope so, absolutely. That would be amazing!”
Aside from the brief “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists” talk, Janel also talked about a new movie she’s starring in. It’s called, “Tiger.” She stated, “It’s such an amazing, inspiring movie. Mickey Rourke is a legend. I was so intimidated to work with him. Once we started working, I completely forgot that he was Mickey Rourke because he was just so good and so in character that it immediately put me at ease.”
Along with her movie and her Perfectionists activities, Janel also spoke about how she recently married her longtime lover Chris Long. They revealed that the big wedding took place in beautiful Hawaii this past Summer 2018.
Janel said of her recent marriage, “It’s been so amazing! I can’t believe it was three months ago because it feels like yesterday. It’s just so wonderful having a lifetime partner and being able to call him my husband. It’s kind of hard being away from him right now because I’m up in Portland filming (“The Perfectionists”), but we get weekends together and that’s amazing.”

In related “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists” news, we’re still waiting to here any new details about the show. The exact premiere date still hasn’t been revealed by Freeform. However, as previously reported, we’re hearing that it will most likely debut in March 2019. Once we get an exact premiere date, we will certainly let you guys know.
Shay Mitchell, who played character Emily Fields on the original Pretty Little Liars show, recently commented on what she thinks about the new Perfectionists spin off with Eonline. It turns out that she’s really excited to see it too!
She stated, “To be honest. I think as an actor, you always do want to continue to challenge yourself which is why I took on this role. Of course, I loved being on Pretty Little Liars. I got a family from that, but at the same time, you always want to continue to challenge yourself. So, I’m really excited to see “The Perfectionists.” I can’t wait to see the spin off, and I’m really excited for everyone.”
