Fortnite Season 7 Quickly Removed The New Super Power Infinity Blade From The Game Today

Happy Friday, “Fortnite” fans. We’ve got some very important news to share with you guys in this report. It turns out that the developers for Fornite Epic Games confessed to making a huge mistake with the Infinity Blade earlier today, December 14,2018. In light of that, they quickly removed the sword from the game!

As previously reported, a lot of players were making a huge uproar about how unfair the Infinity Blade is. It gave anyone who wielded it almost infinite powers! It gave them: health and shield boosts, HP regeneration, faster movement, immense damage-dealing potential and the ability to smash through buildings in no time at all.

It really effected the players who are involved in the Fortnite: Battle Royale $1 million dollar tournament. A lot of those players complained about not having enough time to figure out a way to deal with the Infinity Blade’s crazy powers. One player posted a video on Twitch that was titled, “Imagine qualifying for a $1,000,000 tournament and dying to this off the bat.” The video showed a player getting destroyed by the Infinity Blade.

Earlier today, December 14, 2018, the official Fortnite Twitter Page tweeted out the news that they were pulling the Infinity Blade from the game and throwing it into the vault until further notice. Their tweet read like this, “Heya folks. We messed up and rolled out the Infinity Blade overpowered / without good counters, especially in the end game. The Infinity Blade has been Vaulted and we are re-evaluating our approach to Mythic items. Thanks for calling us out on this!”

The message was received with great joy from some players. One Twitter user Jack “CouRage” Dunlop @CouRageJD definitely revealed how relieved he is about the Infinity Blade being tossed from the game. He wrote, “Couldn’t be more relieved to see the sword vaulted in Fortnite. In games, it’s super key to balance around things that are not only fun to play with but also play against. It wasn’t ever fun to fight the sword. Grateful to Epic for admitting they messed up. Wonderful news.”

According to the folks over at Engadget.com , Epic Games is planning to make some changes to the Infinity Blade in a future Fortnite patch. They are rethinking their approach to mystic items. They also promised to reveal more details about their “competitive philosophy when it comes to new items, updates and seasons.”

Some extra details from Polygon.com revealed that Epic Games actually tried to make some adjustments to the Infinity Blade before yanking it from the game. They were going to try to make it to where players with the Infinity Blade couldn’t harvest or build while using it. That wasn’t enough to do the trick for the many outraged players who complained that harvesting and building wasn’t the problem. They complained they had no way to build against the infinity blade.

Apparently, the very irate players kept begging Epic Games to remove the freaking Infinity Blade, and they did it enough to where Epic finally gave in to their demands. Polygon also pointed out that good players who got their hands on the Infinity Blade were almost invincible, and that there was no viable counter to the sword.

Again, the infinity blade was abruptly thrown into the mix of the semifinals for the $1 million dollar Fortnite North American Winter Royale tournament. That tournament featured professional players who quickly took notice of the crazy sword’s power and how it thoroughly undermined the building that makes up the basis of the game.
