New ‘Fortnite’ The Device LIVE Event & Season 3 Launch Delayed Until Mid-June 2020
Hey, “Fortnite” fans. We are back with a couple of new and very important updates for you guys in this article.
The developer for your favorite video game Fortnite Epic Games recently released new information for the dates associated with the release of the new season 3 and the next LIVE event named “The Device.”
As most of you know, the LIVE Event “The Device” was originally scheduled to start up on June 6, 2020, and the new season 3 was originally scheduled to launch on June 4, 2020.
Recently, Epic Games made a big statement on their website about how they need to take some more time for their team to focus on themselves, their families, and their communities.
In light of this, Epic Games announced that The Device LIVE event is being delayed until Monday, June 15, 2020. And the new season 3 will not be launching until Wednesday, June 17,2020.
The exact times for The Device LIVE event are 2 pm eastern standard time, 11 am pacific standard time and 7 pm BST aka British Summer Time. So, be sure to mark down those very important dates and times on your video game schedules.
We were not able to find the times for the season 3 launch. So, just be ready for it to launch at anytime when June 17, 2020 hits.
The following is the big excuse that Epic Games posted on their website for delaying these important Fortnite events.
They said, “Recent events are a heavy reminder of ongoing injustices in society, from the denial of basic human rights to the impact of racism both overt and subtle against people of color. We’re acutely aware of the pain our friends, families, team members, players, and communities are experiencing.
We believe in equality and justice, diversity and inclusion, and that these fundamentals are above politics.
The team is eager to move Fortnite forward, but we need to balance the Season 3 launch with time for the team to focus on themselves, their families, and their communities.
The live event The Device will be delayed to Monday, June 15, and the Season 3 launch delayed to Wednesday, June 17. We know this delay comes on the heels of another one, and we appreciate your patience and understanding during these difficult times.”
