New ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 15, January 17, 2019 Episode 9 Storyline Teasers Revealed By ABC

Happy Monday, “Grey’s Anatomy” fans. We’ve got some great news for you guys today. ABC finally put out their official press release for the upcoming 9th episode of Grey’s Anatomy’s current 15th season. As most of you know, the show has been on a long, winter break, but it’s almost time for it to start back up again.

ABC’s press release reveals a little bit of what you can expect to see when season 15 returns with the next, new episode 9 on January 17, 2019. Before we continue any further with this article, we must warn you guys that it does contain some light spoiler teasers for episode 9. If you don’t want to see any spoiler teasers, it’s highly suggested that you stop reading this article right now. For those of you who don’t care about spoiler teasers, by all means please keep reading this article.

Alright, now that we’ve got our spoiler warning out of the way, let’s jump right into this new episode 9 press release. To get things started, the press release revealed that episode 9 is entitled, “Shelter From The Storm.”

Episode 9 definitely sounds like it’s going to deliver a whole bunch of drama as the doctors continue to scramble from the very violent windstorm! Owen, Amelia and Teddy continue their major confrontation and more!

We’ll go ahead and start off this teaser session with the extreme windstorm situation. It turns out that the doctors will still be scrambling to try and save lives during the crazy windstorm. Meredith, in particular, will be trying to rush to get to Cece for her heart transplant.

ABC’s official description tells us, “The windstorm continues to blow through Seattle; and after the power goes out at Grey Sloan, the doctors are left scrambling to save their patients’ lives, including Meredith who desperately needs to get to Cece for her heart transplant.” An alternate description reads like this, “THE WINDSTORM CONTINUES TO BLOW THROUGH SEATTLE, LEAVING THE DOCTORS SCRAMBLING TO SAVE THEIR PATIENTS’ LIVES.”

The second storyline scoop reveals that Owen, Amelia and Teddy will definitely continue to deal with their very complicated situation! ABC’s description tells us, “Meanwhile, Owen, Amelia and Teddy confront their complicated situation.”

Will these three be able to successfully work this crazy situation out? That’s the huge question for this particular scenario. It’s certainly going to be interesting to find out.

ABC also released a couple of preview photos for episode 9. They definitely feature Meredith, Andrew and Link in a lot of the photos. So, definitely expect to see them continue their love triangle scenes. There’s some solo snapshots of Owen and Amelia, and they do not look happy. So, it looks like Teddy’s pregnancy news will certainly take sometime to marinate. Lastly, Richard has a solo snapshot. So, expect to see Richard in some scenes. Episode 9 will feature a few guest stars. They are: Debbie Allen as character Catherine Fox, Peyton Kennedy as character Betty Nelson, Chris Carmack as character Atticus “Link” Lincoln, Sophia Ali as character Dahlia Qadri, Jake Borelli as character Levi Schmitt, Alex Landi as character Nico Kim and Jaicy Elliot as character Taryn Helm.

The season regulars for episode 9 are: Ellen Pompeo as character Meredith Grey, Justin Chambers as character Alex Karev, Chandra Wilson as character Miranda Bailey, James Pickens Jr. as character Richard Webber, Kevin McKidd as character Owen Hunt, Jesse Williams as character Jackson Avery, Caterina Scorsone as character Amelia Shepherd, Camilla Luddington as character Jo Wilson, Kelly McCreary as character Maggie Pierce, Kim Raver as character Teddy Altman and Giacomo Gianniotti as character Andrew DeLuca.

Episode 9 was written by William Harper, and it was directed by Jann Turner. Again, episode 9 is scheduled to air on Thursday night, January 17, 2019 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on ABC. Stay tuned.
