Big Brother Season 20 Swaggy C Allegedly Screwed Season 19 Kevin Schlehuber Out Of His Cancer Charity Money
Hey, Big Brother fans. We’ve got a pretty interesting alumni report for you guys in this article. We previously reported that Big Brother season 20 alumni Chris “Swaggy” Williams and Faysal “Fessy” Shafaat threw a basketball, Cancer fundraiser event out in Orlando, Florida back on January 5, 2019.
It was called,Swaggy C Vs Fessy. They even had a website for it and everything. It was called swaggyvsfessy.com. It’s no longer up now since the even is well past over. It was specifically promoted as a fundraiser event to help out Kevin Schlehuber from season 19 out with his cancer bills and for cancer research. Kevin was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer, but thank God it was detected early enough. It was removed back in November 2018, and he’s reportedly cancer free now.
Now, according to the folks over at the OrlandoSentinel.com , Swaggy C made a lot of fans on Twitter extremely upset when he revealed exactly how much money Kevin received from that fundraiser.
Organizers for the event said a portion of the proceeds would go to Kevin Schlehuber and the nonprofit Zero — The End of Prostate Cancer charity. In one of Swaggy C’s Twitter posts, he wrote,”I got 2k for putting the WHOLE event on myself, labor, & playing the game. Fessy got 2k for bringing/drawing most of the crowd (Fessy fans) & playing the game. Zero got 800 for their portion of the proceeds. Kevin got 800. 60-40. Not speaking on it anymore. That’s it.” You guys can view that tweet on Swaggy C’s official Twitter account by Clicking Here.
The Orlando Sentinel pointed out that Big Brother fans responded to Swaggy C’s tweet, and they definitely were not happy. One fan named Rhonda wrote, “Nobody is supposed to get paid for a CHARITY event!!! People donate their time to raise money for the person. You and Fessy should give Kevin the $2,000 you two got. That’s what is the right thing to do.”
Twitter user @ThatGuy13768 wrote, “If you and fessy got 2k each and the charity and Kevin got 800 a piece, that’s 5,600. So you and fessy got a combined 72% of the profit for A CHARITY event. That makes no sense for A CHARITY event. Zero and Kevin should’ve got the majority.”
Fessy hit up his official Twitter account to address the issue. He wrote, “Im truly sorry that all this miscommunication has happened. I showed up to meet my fans and play basketball and spread some love for a good cause at the same time. Everything outside of that was completely out of my control. I have no idea how much the event cost or the logistics.” You guys can view that tweet on Fessy’s official Twitter account by Clicking Here.
Since then, it has been reported by Youtuber Metro Dee that Fessy did end up giving his entire $2,000 dollars to Kevin. Actually, Metro Dee did a video series on the whole situation. You guys can view the first video by Clicking Here. The rest can be found on Metro Dee’s Youtube channel by Clicking Here. They’re titled Swaggyexposedparty.
Anyways, in Metro Dee’s videos, he claimed that Swaggy C definitely misappropriated the funds he took in from the fundraiser. He also said Swaggy C failed to reimburse Kevin for his flight ticket to the game after Swaggy promised he would. Metro Dee’s video series is a few hours long. So, you’ll definitely want to make sure you have a lot of extra time set aside to watch it.
Kevin also hopped on his official Twitter account to address this issue. He wrote, “I would appreciate if @SwaggyCTV would stop talking about my daughter and family, he talked to me once since the event! I asked him to reimburse me for my flight! Never asked for money! then 4 times since Wednesday I texted or called no response! My kids don’t have his number.” You guys can view that tweet on Kevin’s official Twitter account by Clicking Here.
Later, Kevin posted another tweet saying, “Chris remember who looked out for you all the time! I’m extremely hurt by your actions! And you Know all u had to do was answer my calls or texts??I wish you the best I refuse to argue with you anymore about this matter.” You guys can view that tweet on Kevin’s Twitter by Clicking Here.
Swaggy C fired back this tweet: “And I also hate this persona Kev & his family is saying “all you had to do was call us.” Dude I called 5x and you didn’t pick up. Texted 3x and no reply But wanna get on Twitter & lie. Like it’s crazy. I called & texted a million times but they wanted to settle it publicly.” You guys can view that tweet on Swaggy’s Twitter account by Clicking Here.
Meanwhile, the OrlandoSentinel.com was able to get a pretty cookie cutter statement from a publicist for the Swaggy vs. Fessy event. The publicist’s statement reads like this, “Swaggy vs. Fessy was meant as a friendly basketball game between Big Brother alumni to connect alumni from past seasons and honor Kevin’s ongoing battle with cancer, with a portion of proceeds going to Zero Cancer. Funds were allocated to the charity, event operations and talent, and overall, the event was a big success.
It’s unfortunate the miscommunications that resulted following the event, but the intent was always to bring the Big Brother community together and raise awareness of an important cause, which we are fortunate to have accomplished that. We are very grateful for the huge support of the Big Brother fans and Zero Cancer, and we’re excited for all the ways Kevin is continuing to grow support for the prostate cancer community.”
Swaggy C also made a video about how all the money was divvied up. You guys can view that video over on Youtube by Clicking Here.
Now, we are in no way a legal team over here, but we have been hearing that Swaggy C could actually get into major legal trouble for what he admitted to doing in his Twitter post about paying himself $2,000 dollars of the money that was supposed to go to Kevin and cancer research. So, we’ll just see how things play out from here. If Swaggy C does end up getting into legal trouble over this, we’ll definitely let you guys know about it.
