The Voice Eliminated Karly, LB, Julian & Beth Griffith Tonight April 23, 2019
Last night, April 22, 2019, The Voice 2019 Live Cross Battles took place for 8 pairs of singers from Team Kelly Clarkson, Team Blake Shelton, Team Adam Levine and Team John Legend. Afterwards, the viewing audience got to vote for who won each of the LIVE battles.
Tonight,April 23, 2019, the results were revealed. John and Kelly both had “saves” available, and Blake had one steal he could use. The season 2017 “The Voice” champ Brynn Cartelli kicked off the show with a new performance.
Right after that, they got right down to business with the results. LB from Team Adam and Jej Vinson from Team Kelly were up first, and it was revealed that the viewing audience voted for Jej to win. That meant poor LB lost and was eliminated. LB said, “It was a pleasure, and I’m thankful.”
Next, they brought on Kendra Checketts from Team Adam and Jimmy Mowery from Team John Legend for their results. Adam said, “Kendra is incredible, gifted and talented.” John told Jimmy, “It’s been fun working with you and watching you grow.” Next, it was revealed that the viewing audience voted Jimmy Mowery as the winner of their battle.
Kendra then thanked Blake for turning his chair in the beginning. That apparently moved Blake enough to use his steal on her! That means Kendra is still in this competition despite having lost to Jimmy. She will now be on Team Blake!.
After that amazing moment, they brought Shawn Sounds from Team John Legend and Karly Moreno from Team Blake to the stage for their results. John said, “I loved working with Shawn. He continues to surprise and impress me.” Blake said, “Karly makes everyone happy when she gets on the stage. She’s different, and I hope she stays.” After that, it was revealed that Shawn was voted the winner of their battle. That meant poor Karly lost. She said, “I was blessed to have this experience. It was helpful and amazing.” She was eliminated.
Next, they brought Carter Lloyd from Team Blake and Jacob Maxwell from Team John Legend to the stage for their results. Blake said, “Carter is on the right path, and music is what he should be doing.” John said, “I hope I can continue to work with Jacob. He has a great future ,and I want to work on a record with him.”
After that, it was revealed that Carter from Team Blake was voted the winner of that battle. That meant poor Jacob lost, but John decided to use his one and only “save” on him! So, Jacob will stick around in this competition.
Next, Kalvin Jarvis from Team Adam and Julian King from Team John Legend were brought on stage for their results. Adam told Kalvin, “You did your best job at the most important time, and you blew everyone away.” John said, “I love working with Julian. He’s got a beautiful heart and the mind of an artist. He has a future no matter what.”
After that, it was revealed that Kalvin from Team Adam was voted the winner of their battle. That meant poor Julian lost and was eliminated. Julian told John, “This has been a sweet chapter in my life, and this will last a lifetime.”
Next, Rebecca Howell from Team Kelly and Beth Griffith-Manley from Team John Legend were brought onto the stage for their results. Kelly said, “They are both fantastic, and I believe in them both 100 percent.” John told Beth, “Your performance last night was so special. You dazzled. I’m rooting for you.”
After that, it was revealed that Rebecca from team Kelly was voted the winner of their battle. That meant poor Beth lost and was indeed eliminated. She told John, “You were an amazing coach. I’m blessed, and I’m not done yet.”
Finally, Gyth Rigdon from Team Blake and Abby Kasch from Team Kelly were brought to the stage for their results. Blake told Gyth, “You’re a star. I’m glad you’re on the show. Your journey shouldn’t end here. I’m proud of you.” Kelly said, “I love that I have someone like Abby who represents rock and roll country on my team. It’s so fresh. I’m very proud of her.”
After that, it was revealed that Gyth from Team Blake was voted the winner of their battle! That meant poor Abby lost. However, Kelly decided to use her last “save” on Abby! So, Abby will stick around.
With all that said, Karly Moreno, LB, Julian King and Beth Griffith-Manley were the unfortunate singers to get eliminated tonight,April 23, 2019.
