New ‘Chicago Fire’ Season 7 Episode 20 Delayed. It’s Not Airing May 1, 2019
Hey, “Chicago Fire” fans. Yep, it’s very true. We unfortunately have to tell you guys that your favorite show is taking yet another break after just returning from a long break tonight with the latest episode 19. The next, new episode 20 will not be airing next Wednesday night, May 1, 2019. No, no, no. Instead, NBC is scheduled to air the new episode 20 on Wednesday night, May 8, 2019. So, be sure to mark down that very important date on your TV show calendars.
Also, this will be the final break of this current season seven before it concludes on Wednesday night, May 22, 2019. So, that’s somewhat good news. But let’s take a look at what NBC will be airing in Chicago Fire’s place next week, May 1, 2019.
According to the TV Guide schedule, NBC will be airing the 2019 Billboard Music Awards. That’s right, guys. This major event is the cause of you not getting to see a new episode of Chicago Fire next week.
NBC’s official description for the 2019 Billboard Music Awards reads like this, “Hosted by Kelly Clarkson, the 2019 Billboard Music Awards ceremony honors the hottest names in music today. Live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Mariah Carey will receive the Icon Award.”
It does sound like it will be a pretty lively event. If any of you are heavy music fans, you might want to still tune into NBC next week to check this out. However, if you have no desire to see the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, you will definitely want to schedule something else to watch or do next week. This special is going to take up the whole NBC prime line up, lasting from 7 pm to 10 pm central standard time.
We do have a bit of good news in the midst of all this. NBC did deliver a press release for episode 20. Before we get into it, we must warn you guys that it does contain light spoiler teasers. If you don’t like spoiler teasers, it’s highly suggested that you exit this article right now. If you don’t mind spoiler teasers, by all means please keep reading this article.
With that said, let’s jump right into this. To start things off, NBC’s press release revealed that the next, new episode 20 is entitled,”Try Like Hell.” I don’t know about you guys, but that sounds like a pretty intense title to me.
It sounds like episode 20 will feature some pretty interesting scenes as a hair salon will get set on fire at some point. This will cause Severide and Boden to go on a mad search to see who in the hell would have the gall to set it on fire in the first, freaking place!
Elsewhere, we will see Mouch, Herrman, Otis and Kidd track down the lost piercing nozzle from Engine 27!
NBC’s official description for episode 20 reads like this, “Severide and Boden search to uncover whether arson was the cause of a fire at a hair salon. Mouch, Herrmann, Otis and Kidd make a startling discovery in tracking down the missing piercing nozzle from Engine 27.”
Will Boden and Severide be successful in their hunt for the fire starting culprit? That is a big question for this installment.
Again, episode 20 has been officially confirmed to air on Wednesday night, May 8, 2019 at approximately 8 pm central standard time on NBC.
