The Voice May 14, 2019 Eliminated Kim Cherry, Carter, Rod & Shawn Sounds Tonight
Hey, The Voice Fans. Tonight, May 14, 2019 it all went down. That’s right, guys. The big results show that would decide who your final four contestants for this season would be. The top 8 contestants performed last night, May 13, 2019 for America’s vote, and everything was revealed tonight.
All the coaches/judges: Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend were, of course, on hand. Blake Shelton kicked off the show by performing his new country song titled, “God’s Country.”
After that, host Carson Daly got right down to business by revealing the results. He revealed that Maelyn Jarmon was again the most streamed artist during the overnight voting. Shortly after that, Carson revealed that Maelyn Jarmon from Team John Legend was safe and through to the finals next week!
Next, Carson revealed that Dexter Roberts from Team Blake was safe and through to next week’s finale! After that, it was revealed that the popular Jonas Brothers will show up next week to perform their new single during the finale show. Country Music star Taylor Swift is also showing up.
After that, Kelly Clarkson and Rod Stokes hit the stage to sing a duet together. They sang, “Chances Are.” Next, Carson got down to business again and revealed that Gyth Rigdon from Team Blake was safe tonight, and has made it through to the finals next week!
After that, they brought on The Voice season 9 finalist Emily Ann Roberts to sing her new song titled, “Some Day Dream.”
Next, Carson hit the stage again with the 5 remaining artists. This is where things weren’t so straight forward. Apparently, the bottom two vote-getters immediately got eliminated. Then the three contestants left over from that, had to sing for an instant Twitter “save” from the viewing audience.
With that said, Carson revealed that Shawn Sounds from Team John Legend, Rod Stokes from Team Kelly and Andrew Sevener from Team Blake would get to sing for the instant Twitter “save.” Unfortunately, that also meant that poor Kim Cherry and Carter Lloyd Horne from Team Blake realized they had reached the end of their “The Voice” journey. They were eliminated at this point and said their goodbyes.
After that, Andrew Sevener from Team Blake hit the stage first to start off the big sing-off for the Twitter instant “save.” He sang, “Simple Man.” Afterwards, Blake told Andrew, “That was enough to get you into the finale. I wish you would have saved it for the finale because you were so connected to it. Andrew is the real deal. Country to the core, He deserves to be in the finale.” Wow, strong words.
Next up, Rod Stokes from Team Kelly hit the stage to sing, “Brother.” Afterwards, Kelly told Rod, “I was dying to sing with a voice like yours my whole life. I hope you don’t go home tonight. I’m glad we got to do a duet.”
After that, Shawn Sounds from Team John legend hit the stage to wrap up the sing-off. He sang,”That’s What I Like.” Afterwards, John said, “America, you saw what Shawn gave you tonight. I feel so fortunate to have worked with someone who is musically gifted. Your voice is so special. You do ballads, uptempo, and you do it all beautifully.”
After all that, Carson finally revealed that Andrew Sevener from Team Blake won the instant Twitter “save,” and had advanced to next week’s finale! Unfortunately, that also meant that poor Shawn Sounds and Rod Stokes learned their “The Voice” journey ended in that moment.
With all that said, your top 4 “The Voice” finalists for this season are: Maelyn Jarmon from Team Legend, Dexter Roberts from Team Blake, Gyth Rigdon from Team Blake and Andrew Sevener from Team Blake.
Everyone who got eliminated tonight are: Kim Cherry from Team Blake, Carter Lloyd Horne from Team Blake, Rod Stokes from Team Kelly and Shawn Sounds from Team John Legend.
