New ‘Joker’ 2019 Movie Teaser Trailer And Plotline Revealed
Recently, Warner Bros. Pictures posted a brand new teaser movie trailer for their upcoming “Joker” movie. I know we’re a little late on this. Heck, we’re actually a lot late, but who cares? We were busy with other things.
What’s important is that we’re posting this teaser trailer (below) now for the brand new “Joker” flick that’s about to hit theaters in a couple of months. October 4, 2019 to be exact. So, be sure to mark down that very important date on your movie calendars.
We were able to get a hold of brief plot summary for this movie. It sounds like the new “Joker” flick will definitely be interesting to watch as it will totally be a stand alone movie about the Joker and his alter ego Arthur Fleck. It will be set in the early 1980’s. 1981 to be exact.
The plot summary describes Arthur Fleck as being a man who’s been shunned by society. An alternate description describes him as being a failed stand-up comedian that falls into a life of crime and chaos.
Warner Bros. official plot summary for the Joker reads like this, “In 1981, a failed stand-up comedian turns to a life of crime and chaos in Gotham City, slowly rising to become a frightening legend.”
The alternate description reads like this, “The Joker centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. It explores the life of Arthur Fleck, a man disregarded by society. It’s a gritty character study, and a broader cautionary tale.
It’s set to take place in Gotham in the early 1980’s, and it will be the first film under a new banner that Warner Bros. has yet to name. This banner will expand the canon of DC Comics properties and create unique storylines with different actors playing the characters.”
The new “Joker” movie stars actors: Joaquin Phoenix, Zazie Beetz, Robert De Niro, Marc Maron, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Bill Camp, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Josh Pais, Shea Whigham, Douglas Hodge and Dante Pereira-Olsen.
Joker was written by Todd Phillips and Scott Silver, and it was directed by Todd Phillips. It’s, of course, being distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
The teaser trailer starts off showing Arthur as a somewhat normal individual. He’s shown doing his clown routine on the streets. But, oh no! He gets attacked by what appears to be a bunch of thugs. After that, it shows a series of scenes. One of them features Arthur smiling and dancing with a young lady. He’s also seen visiting the Arkham State Hospital.
After that, things start to get a little crazier. Arthur is seen in his clown make-up just laughing up a storm for no particular reason. At one point, a couple annoyed guys come along and knock the everliving crap out of him. It actually sort of makes you feel sorry for Arthur. I mean I can really tell this is going to be some deep, deep stuff.
The trailer caps off, showing a lot of different scenes of Arthur running around in his clown make up, getting hit by a car and a lot of other wild stuff.
Throughout the trailer, we here Arthur’s voice in the background saying, “My mother always tells me to smile and put on a happy face. She told me I had a purpose. To bring laughter and joy to the world. Is is just me, or is it getting crazier out there? Gotham’s lost its way. I used to think that my life was a tragedy. But now, I realize it’s a comedy.”
