‘America’s Got Talent’ July 23, 2019 Judge Cuts 2 Results Revealed (Recap)
Hey, “America’s Got Talent” fans. Tonight, July 23, 2019, the 2nd part of the Judge Cuts episodes did indeed air. It featured the usual judges: Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough and Simon Cowell along with guest star judge former NBA star and Gabrielle Union’s husband Dwyane Wade.
Dwayne Wade was given the Golden Buzzer option to send a lucky contestant straight through to LIVE shows.
Bir Khalsa kicked off the performances. They’re a group from India that does wacky danger acts. They did something with melons and a very sharp blade.
After their performance, Dwyane told them, “You’re unique and entertaining.” Gabrielle joked, “I peed myself.” Julianne said, “I was freaking out with the audience.” Howie said, “Melons and nuts sounds like a different show.” Simon said, “I like coconuts smashed on their coconuts.”
Next up was G Force. They’re a tween girl group. They sang an original song called, “Simon Says.” Afterwards, Gabrielle said, “I loved you even more this time.” Dwyane said, “I love your swag and confidence.”
Howie said, “You’re adorable, but I couldn’t understand the words. I liked your first performance better.” Simon said, “It was a way way better audition than the first time.”
Olivia Calderon arrived next. She’s a Spanish language singer. After her performance, Dwayne said, “It’s not my cup of tea,” and that’s the only critique they showed. Actually, they didn’t really show much of her performance either.
Dom Chambers was up next. He’s a magician from Australia. He did something with an iPhone. At one point, he pulled a card right out of the iPhone. Dwyane was definitely impressed.
Afterwards, Dwayne said, “This is the best magic I’ve ever seen. It’s cool and innovative.” Gabrielle said, “It’s pure magic.” Simon said, “It was not as dynamic as your first audition.”
Next, they showed a brief look at Mat Ricardo. He’s from the UK and does a Variety act. After his routine, Howie told him, “You’re a showman.”
Singer and song writer Lamont Landers sang “Walk Me Home” by Pink. He did a bluesy acoustic version of it. Afterwards, Julianne told him, “Your voice isn’t filling the space.” Gabrielle said, “Your performance had a lot of heart.”
Dwayne said, “Your voice is unassuming. I think you could take it to another level.” Simon said, “I like you and your voice, but I feel like your performance left me with nothing. I don’t think I’m going to be fighting for you in the end.”
They showed another brief act by Adaline Bates. She’s a singer that performs as a male and female. Afterwards, Julianne told Adaline, “There is nowhere for your act to go.”
Comedian and ventriloquist Michael Paul performed. They only showed a small part of his act. Dwyane buzzed him. Simon said, “I think you came out with a terrible act tonight.”
Next, Ginzilla hit the stage. She’s a comedic drag act. They only showed a brief clip of this performance. She sang “Material Girl” by Madonna. Afterwards, Howie said, “It was not a step up.” Simon said, “It just wasn’t as good as your audition.”
Alex Dowis was up next. He does a light show act. After his routine, Dwayne said, “You’re an amazing story teller.” Simon said, “I got goose bumps on my goose bumps.”
V. Unbeatable hit the stage next. They’re an India dance crew. Their routine got a standing ovation from the crowd. Afterwards, Julianne told them, “You’re powerful. I love the combination of dance and acrobats.”
Simon said, “I love your enthusiasm. We need you.” Dwyane said,”My heart is beating so hard.” After that, Dwyane gave V.Unbeatable the Golden Buzzer! That means V. Unbeatable will automatically advance to the LIVE shows!
Next, Izzy and Easton hit the stage. They are a kid contemporary dance duo. They only showed them briefly. Julianne and Gabrielle seemed enthusiastic about their act.
A hip hop dance crew called Adem Show hit the stage. They did a routine based on “Night at the Museum.” Afterwards, Simon told them,” You’re brilliant dancers.” Howie said, “It’s a step up.”
Verba Shadow arrived next. They did a shadow dance act. Afterwards, Howie told them, “I don’t know what the story was.” Simon said, “It was good vs evil. I didn’t get the horse. I thought it was amazing though.” Dwyane said he liked it too.
Musician Robert Finley sang an original song called, “Medicine Woman.” Afterwards, Howie told Robert,”You’re authentic.” Gabrielle said, “You came to go to the finals.” Dwyane said, “I want to adopt you.”
Duo Fusion was up next. They’re a husband and wife hand balancing act. Afterwards, Julianne seem very enthusiastic for them.
A comedic performer named Valerie Sassyfras arrived next. Her performance totally bombed. The judges buzzed her.
Finally, comedian Ryan Niemiller hit the stage. He did some stand up comedy and got a standing ovation from the crowd.
Afterwards, Howie told Ryan, “I love you so much. You deserve a spot on this show.” Dwyane said, “I could listen to you all day.” Simon said, “I can sense your joy and confidence.”
After the judges deliberated about all the acts, they revealed that: musician Dom Chambers, kid girl group G Force, singer Robert Finley, Wacky danger act Bir Khalsa, Light show act Alex Dowis and comedian Ryan Niemiller would advance to the LIVE shows along with Dwyane Wade’s Golden Buzzer pick V. Unbeatable.
Next week, July 30, 2019, we will see the Judge Cuts 3 episode. It starts at 7 pm central standard time on NBC.
