MasterChef September 4, 2019 Eliminated Subha Ramiah & Shari Mukherjee(Recap)

Hey, “MasterChef” fans. Tonight, September 4, 2019, another elimination/immunity challenge episode did indeed air with judges: Gordon Ramsay, Aarón Sanchez, and Joe Bastianich. This episode featured the final 6 contestants. They all traveled to Gordon’s hometown, London,England.

While there, they visited various locations before meeting up with Gordon, Aaron and Joe to get their instructions. Gordon greeted them with positive words before telling them they would be cooking in his flagship restaurant named Gordon Ramsey. Gordon pointed out that his restaurant has 3 Michelin stars to add to the pressure.

If that wasn’t enough, Gordon told them that previous MasterChef UK winners would be in attendance along with his family.

At this point, Gordon split the final 6 into two teams. He placed Shari, Subha and Nick on the red team, and Sarah, Dorian and Noah on the blue team. Sarah was made captain of the blue team, and Nick was named captain of the red team by Gordon.

Gordon gave the final 6 brand new, white MasterChef aprons to wear for this challenge. Next, Gordon showed the contestants how to cook the appetizers and entrees they would be making and serving to the customers for this challenge.

The appetizers included but not limited to scallops and a puree dish. The entree dishes included but not limited to a duck with buckwheat and corn dish, and the second entree included a steak with turnips dish.

During the challenge, Joe greeted all the guests while Aaron and Gordon kept close watch over the 6 contestants. It was mostly the Gordon show though.

It reminded me of Hell’s Kitchen. Things started to get real tough for the contestants when Gordon started blasting out customer orders that needed to be filled in a certain period of time.

At one point, Gordon called out Shari for burning the scallops. Gordon got on to Sarah for some undercooked meat.

Gordon hollered at Nick to implement more team work and coordination. Subha got griped out for undercooking the Langoustine. Gordon ordered for someone to show Subha how to cook the Langoustine.

Shari messed up the last of the red team’s scallops. So, Gordon had to force the customer to replace the scallops with Langoustine.

At this point, Sarah was quite sure her blue team had a one up over the red team. During the entree segments, the teams regrouped for the beef/steak and duck entrees.

Noah said he was very confident cooking the meat. The customers said they were really impressed with the blue team at this point. However, Noah ran into major issues not fully cooking the steak.

The red team started doing better with the entrees. Noah continued to screw up the steak for the blue team by undercooking it. Dorian came through with the duck breasts for the blue team though.

The blue team couldn’t send out steak because Noah kept screwing them up. Eventually. Noah got kicked off cooking the steak and replaced by Dorian. So, Dorian was tasked with cooking both the duck and the steak. Noah still helped out though by asking Dorian for help so he could cook it right.

When Dorian took over, the blue team flourished and were finally able to get some steak out to the customers. Subha undercooked some beef. The Red team got overcooked duck sent back to them from a Masterchef UK winner, but they corrected it.

After everything was all said and done, the customers seemed pleased at the end of the meal service, but a lot of mistakes were definitely made during it, and that’s what the judges deliberated before making their ultimate decision.

Once again, Gordon did all the talking in this moment. He said the blue team of Sarah, Dorian and Noah won the challenge. So, everyone on that team was safe. However, Gordon told Noah he would be in big trouble if it were not for Shari and Dorian. They saved his you know what.

When addressing the red team, Gordon immediately told Shari and Subha they were eliminated. He told Shari she burned half their scallops, which caused them to eventually run out and force a customer to order something else. Gordon told Subha, “You fell short of the finesse to get you over the line.”

So, all of this means that Nick, Sarah, Dorian and Noah are the final four chefs, and they will compete in the semifinals in next week’s episode!

Both teams messed up, but it seemed to me the Red Team did much better in the entree round so I was surprised Gordon chose the Blue Team as the winners.

I’m just reading the results till Dorian is gone. I record it, read teh results and delete. I liked pretty much everyone except Dorian, and Wuta…so until Dorian is history I guess I won’t be watching.

I think Noah learned a good lesson about bragging. I am also waiting for Dorian to go home. I think she is pompous and thinks so much of herself. I would much rather have seen last weeks loser stay. It is about time Subha went home. He was so far out of his league!

Have not been impressed with Noah from the start. Thought he should have been gone before now. He may be a nice guy, but listening to him is like nails on a chalkboard. I can’t watch any more.

Dorian pompous???? She’s the most humble one on the show.

When Suhba dropped the meat and then kicked it under the counter, the expression on the chefs’ faces was priceless. That’s when I think that that decision was made. Burning so many scallops, that too.

Noah gets on my last nerve!
