‘Legacies’ Season 2 Is Bringing On An Important, New Female Student
Hey, fellow “Legacies” fans. We are back at you with some very important and intriguing news for the second season of your favorite show. Before we get started though. Did you guys see the premiere episode yet? It was good, right? Things definitely won’t ever be the same with Hope. That’s for sure.
Anyways, back to the big season 2 news at hand. There’s going to be yet another new student to arrive on the scene. However, she will not be attending the Salvatore school. Oh, no, no, no. This young lady will arrive at the Mystic Falls High school. Her name will be Maya and she is being played by actress Bianca Santos.
This news was first revealed by the people over at Deadline.com and according to their description of this new Maya character, she’s going to turn out to be quite the important recurring character this season.
They say that her role will be a “pivotal” one. Unfortunately, they didn’t go into further detail about what Maya will be doing. So, we will just have to wait and see.
Here’s what Deadline did reveal about Maya’s character. She is described as being a sharp-tongued and flirtatious new student at Mystic Falls High. She is the sister of Ethan and the daughter of Sheriff Mac.
Beyond that character description, Maya is pretty much a mystery at this point in terms of what she’s going to do.
The folks over at TV Line actually did deliver a little extra info for this new Maya character.
They’re saying that Maya will be an uniformed troublemaker. Additionally, Maya and her brother Ethan might end up having a crush on Hope at some point.
TV Line pointed out that executive producer Julie Plec commented on these two before news of their casting actually broke.
At that time, Julie explained, “We’re writing new brother and sister characters who are both locals at Mystic Falls High School, and they both have a crush on Hope.” So, again, this new Maya girl just keeps on getting even more and more interesting by the second doesn’t she?
As for Maya’s portrayer Bianca A. Santos, she’s a very beautiful girl,and she has a pretty extensive acting background.
Her acting resume includes roles in the following: The Player (short), Brodowski & Company (TV Movie), Bitter Strippers (short), Channing TV movie, Ouija horror movie, Happyland TV show, The Duff Movie, Dream Americano TV movie, Little Dead Rotting Hood, The Fosters TV show, Priceless, 48 Hours To Live, The Golden year (short), The Suitcase (short),SPF-18, Avenge The Crows,The Best People, Happily Never After TV movie,Keeping It 100 TV show,Cloak & Dagger TV show, Don’t Say No and The Yellow Vines (short) in pre-production right now.
So, welcome Bianca Santos into the “Legacies” family as Maya. Bianca is repped by Marni Rosenzweig at The Rosenzweig Group and attorney Lev Ginsburg.
