‘Dancing With The Stars’ October 14, 2019 Eliminated No One (Recap)

Hey, “Dancing With The Stars” fans. Tonight, October 14, 2019, a brand new performances/results show did indeed air. This week was Disney night. That means all the couples danced to corny Disney songs.

All the judges: Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba were, of course, on hand. There were no guest judges this week. So, we were back down to just three judges tonight.

The performances kicked off with Sailor Brinkley-Cook and Val Chmerkovskiy dancing a Viennese Waltz. Afterwards,Len Goodman told Sailor, “It was light and fluffy like a souffle. I would have liked to have seen more dancing in hold. You’ll definitely be back next week.”

Bruno said, “You are the ideal Disney princess, and you acted it well too. You apply yourself to your dances. Your spins have much improved.” Carrie Ann said, “You got in character so well. That was an amazing dance.” Carrie Ann gave Sailor an 8 score, Len an 8, Bruno and 8 for a total of 24 points out of a possible 30 points.

Next up was Karamo Brown and Jenna Johnson to do a Samba routine. After their performance,Bruno told Karamo, “You attacked it like a leader when you were with the ensemble, but you needed better footwork and elasticity in hold during the samba portions.”

Carrie Ann said, “I liked the Afro-Cuban sections, but not as much the samba sections. You and Jenna could have connected better as a couple.” Len said, “It was fun and joyful, but your feet are your problem. You were too stompy.” Carrie Ann gave Karamo a 7 score, Len a 7, Bruno a 7 for a total of 21 points.

Kate Flannery and Pasha Pashkov rocked out a Jazz routine. Afterwards, Carrie Ann told Kate, “I admired how in sync and well-timed you both were. Well done.” Len said, “I enjoyed seeing a little polka, Charleston and quickstep all wrapped up in a sweet an delicious routine. You are back in the game.”

Bruno said, “The medicine worked wonders. You brought your own personality to Mary Poppins that really worked.” Carrie Ann gave Kate an 8 score, Len an 8, Bruno an 8 for a total of 24 points.

Next, Sean Spicer and Lindsay Arnold served up a Quickstep dance. Afterwards, Len told Sean, “You’ve got a friend in me. I liked the heel leads. Your frame was pretty good, There was a lot of dancing in hold, and it was a proper dance. Well done.”

Bruno said, “It was better, and I could see how much effort you put into it, especially with Lindsay coaching you extensively throughout.” Carrie Ann said, “This was your best dance, and the quickstep suited you. It took my breath away.” Carrie Ann gave Sean a 7 score, Len a 6, Bruno a 6 for a total of 19 points.

Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber hit the stage next to perform a Contemporary number. Their theme was “Beauty and the Beast.”

Afterwards, Bruno told Ally, “You gave one and a half minutes of absolute happiness, and you throw yourself into it with fearless commitment.” Carrie Ann said, “I love that you don’t have the trained dancer lines, but you still created something unique and individual with your performance.”

Len said, “It was smooth as butter on a hot muffin and a cracking routine.” Carrie Ann gave Ally a 9 score, Len a 9, Bruno a 9 for a total of 27 points. That was the highest score of the night!

Lauren Alaina and Gleb Savchenko arrived on stage to dance a Samba routine. Their theme was “The Little Mermaid.”

Afterwards, Carrie Ann told Lauren, “You make a great Little Mermaid, and you had great bounce even though you got one of the hardest dances in the competition.” Len said, ” I like that there was a lot of samba content amidst the frippery and messing about, but you went wrong in the running promenades and there was a little too much going on on occasion.”

Bruno said, “You’re fabulous underwater and pretty hot on dry land. However, you went a bit weird and lost count a couple of times.” Carrie Ann gave Lauren an 8 score, Len a 7, Bruno an 8 for a total of 23 points.

Kel Mitchell and Witney Carson danced a Jazz routine. There theme was “High School Musical.” Afterwards, Len told Kel, “That was a dance that really suited you.” Bruno said, “You were in the zone and graduated top of the class. Tonight, you were a revelation.” Carrie Ann said, “You led that number like the champ you are.” Carrie Ann gave Kel a 9 score, Len an 8, Bruno a 9 for a total of 26 points.

Hannah Brown and Alan Bersten were up next with their Foxtrot dance. Their theme was “Aladdin.” Afterwards, Bruno told Hannah, “You were radiant, and I assume the footwork was good, but I couldn’t see it through the fog.”

Carrie Ann said, “It was stunning.” Len said, “You were fantastic in hold, and I wanted to see more of it in Alan’s choreography.” Carrie Ann gave Hannah a 9 score, Len a 7, Bruno a 9 for a total of 25 points.

The last performance of the night was James Van Der Beek and Emma Slater. They delivered a Paso Doble routine. Their theme was “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

Afterwards, Carrie Ann told James, “It was insane. The drama, the dynamics and the energy exchange was off the charts. This was your dance, truly.” Len said, “It was dramatic and strong with a touch of aggression, but a couple of the steps could have been a little sharper.”

Bruno said, “It was a grand spectacle. A powerful performance, and a big hit.” Carrie Ann gave James a 9 score, Len an 8, Bruno a 9 for a total of 26 points.

At this point, it was time for the results. But, we never got any results because they said screw it. “Nobody goes home on Disney night,” and that was it. So, I guess we’ll see somebody get sent home next week.

Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber were at the top of the Judge’s leader board tonight with 27 points. Sean Spicer and Lindsey Arnold were at the very bottom with 19 points.
