‘Chicago Fire’ Season 8, January 29, 2020 Episode 13 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight
Hey, “Chicago Fire” fans. Unfortunately, this is not a good report for you guys. It turns out that for some reason, NBC will not be airing the next,new episode 13 of Chicago Fire’s current 8th season tonight, January 29, 2020.
No,no,no. Instead, we have official word from NBC that you guys will have to wait until next Wednesday night, February 5,2020 to see the new episode 13. So, this delay will just be a setback of one week.
It will air in its usual 8 pm central standard time slot. So, be sure to mark down that very important date on your TV show calendars.
So, what is NBC airing instead of Chicago Fire tonight? Well, according the the TV Guide listings, NBC will actually be airing a repeat episode of Chicago Fire. Yep, it’s the 2nd episode of the current 8th season. It’s titled, “A Real Shot in the Arm.”
NBC’s official description for it reads like this, “Lt. Casey struggles to get Chief Boden to sign off on an energetic new recruit. Against her better judgment, Foster extends an olive branch to her irritating new medic.
Otis inspires Herrmann to seek new partners at Molly’s. Brett realizes life in Fowlerton will take some getting used to.”
If any of you guys happened to have missed that episode when it originally aired, or you just want to watch it again. You might still want to tune into NBC to catch it. If not, you will most certainly want to find something else to watch or do tonight.
With all of that said, we do have some official promotional materials for the next,new Chicago Fire episode 13. NBC served up a press release, preview photos and a preview clip for it. This stuff does contain spoiler teasers. So, if you don’t want to see any spoilers, we highly suggest that you stop reading this article immediately.
If you don’t mind reading spoilers, by all means please stick around. Now that our spoiler warning is in place, let’s take a look at this new episode 13 press release.
For starters, it reveals that episode 13 is officially titled, “A CHICAGO WELCOME.” It sounds like episode 13 will feature some semi-interesting and possible dramatic scenes.
In the new episode 13, a new fire truck will arrive and pretty much startle everyone. After everyone finally settles down from their shock, this new fire truck will end up bringing some joy and chaos to certain members of the Firehouse 51 crew.
Boden and Severide will get asked to play make up with an enemy from way, way back so that a much greater good can be accomplished.
At some point, we will see Brett get some family news thrown in his direction. Meanwhile, Foster will be quite busy trying to plan a party with some friends.
NBC’s official description for episode 13 reads like this, “The surprising arrival of a new fire truck brings both joy and chaos to members of Firehouse 51. Boden and Severide are asked to make peace with an old foe for the greater good. Brett receives family news while Foster plans a party with friends.”
The new episode 13 preview pics feature Severide and Boden having some pretty serious-looking scenes. Randy and Christopher are spotted in a scene together. It looks like they’re having a serious chit chat.
Some of the pics feature a big outdoor scene with the Firehouse 51 crew all suited up. Sylvie and Emily are spotted in some of the pictures. It looks like they’re at a very formal gathering.

The new episode 13 preview clip tells us,”What could be more dangerous than saving a person? An entire human chain.” That statement is accompanied by a very intense rescue mission that the Firehouse 51 crew is trying to pull off.

Again, NBC confirmed that episode 13 is scheduled to air next Thursday night, February 5, 2020 at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
