To start, CBS’ official episode 16 press release reveals that episode 16 is titled, “Ephemera.” Now, if that’s not a unique title, I don’t know what is.
Anyways, it sounds like episode 16 will feature some very interesting, possible action-filled and dramatic scenes.
In the new episode 16, a retired Navy officer will sadly commit suicide. This will, of course, cause the NCIS crew to launch another big investigation into it.
During their investigation, the NCIS team will discover that this Navy officer left behind a very rare and valuable coin with the National Museum of the Navy. This coin could have possibly been stolen.
The NCIS team will do something quite unique during this case. They will imagine themselves in the dead Navy officer’s life story in an effort to try to figure out how the Navy officer was able to get his hands on such a valuable coin.
CBS’ official description for episode 16 reads like this, “While investigating the suicide of a retired Navy officer who left a rare, valuable – and possibly stolen – coin to the National Museum of the Navy, the team imagines themselves in his life story in order to piece together how the coin ended up in his possession.”
An alternate description reads like this, “WHILE INVESTIGATING THE SUICIDE OF A RETIRED NAVY OFFICER, THE TEAM IMAGINES THEMSELVES IN THE OFFICER’S LIFE STORY IN ORDER TO FIGURE OUT HOW A RARE, VALUABLE – AND POSSIBLY STOLEN – COIN ENDED UP IN HIS POSSESSION.”
