‘Supergirl’ Season 5, March 29, 2020 Episode 17 Delayed. Not Airing Tonight

Hey, “Supergirl” fans. We unfortunately have to tell you that your favorite show is currently on a break right now. That means The CW will not be airing the next, new episode 17 of Supergirl’s current season 5 tonight.

They also won’t be airing it next week,April 5,2020. We’ve got official word from The CW that episode 17 is currently scheduled to air on Sunday night, April 12, 2020 in its usual 8 pm central standard time slot.

So, be sure to commit that very important date and time to your memory banks or just be sure to write it down on something.

So, what will The CW air instead of the next, new episode 17 of Supergirl’s current season 5 over the next two weeks? That is a very good question. According to the TV Guide listings, The CW will air repeat episodes of Supergirl during this break.

Tonight, they will re-air the 12th episode of this season 5 titled, “Back From the Future – Part Two.”

The CW’s official description for it reads like this, “Supergirl helps Winn face his greatest fear. After Alex sets out to find evidence against Lex, Brainy must decide between helping his friend or continuing to secretly work for Lex.”

Then next Sunday night, April 5, 2020, The CW will re-air the 13th episode of this season 5. It’s titled, “It’s a Super Life.”

The CW’s official description for it reads like this, “Kara starts using her powers she hid for years and gets recruited to join a secret agency to protect the citizens of National City.”

If those are a couple of episodes you feel like watching, just go ahead and flip on The CW as usual during this two week break. However, if you do not wish to watch these repeat episodes, you will certainly want to find some other plans very quickly.

With all of that said, we do have some new intel for the next, new episode 17 of Supergirl’s current season 5. We were able to hunt down an official CW press release for episode 17. So, we’re going to tell you everything it says.

Before we do, we must warn you that it does contain light spoiler teasers. So, if you’re not a fan of spoilers, we do highly suggest that you exit this article as fast as you can.

On the flip side of that, if you love spoilers and, you’re always seeking them out, we highly recommend that you stick around for this press release.

Now that we’ve warned everyone of the spoilers, let’s take a look at this new episode 17 press release. To start, it reveals that episode 17 has an official title, which is called, “Deus Lex Machina”. Now, I must say that is a very unique title.

Anyways,it sounds like episode 17 will feature some very scandalous, intense, dramatic, action-filled and interesting scenes.

In the new episode 17, Lex Luthor will definitely be plotting up some new scandals. This time his scheme will be designed to get Lena closer to him and defeat Leviathan’s latest attack. Lex will also try to pit Supergirl and her team against Leviathan!

This episode will also present a little flashback footage. This particular flashback will reveal how Lex was able to come into power after the Crisis.

The CW’s official description for episode 17 reads like this, “Lex (guest star Jon Cryer) proceeds to lay an intricate plan to bring Lena (Katie McGrath) closer to him, defeat Leviathan’s latest attack, and pit Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and team against Leviathan. It is also revealed how Lex came into power after Crisis.”

Episode 17 was directed by Supergirl/Kara star Melissa Benoist, and it was written by Lindsay Sturman.

The teleplay was done by Katie Rose Rogers & Brooke Pohl. The CW pointed out that this is Melissa’s first time directing an episode. So, it’s her directorial debut!

Again, The CW confirmed that the next, new episode 17 of Supergirl’s current season 5 is scheduled to air on Sunday night, April 12, 2020 at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
