‘Bold And The Beautiful’ Sally’s Scandalous Friend Penny Escobar Might Become A Regular
Hey, “Bold And The Beautiful” fans. We are back with a brand new article for you guys. We happened upon some pretty interesting entail in regards to Sally Spectra’s recent doctor friend and partner in crime Dr. Penny Escobar.
You guys remember her,right? She was the one that freaked out and knocked the living daylights out of Flo when she got on the phone to rat her and Sally out to Wyatt. Those were the good ole days when we had new episodes to look forward to.
Well, here’s what we’re hearing. According to the folks over at celebratingthesoaps.com , Penny Escobar’s portrayer Monica Ruiz thinks there is a high probability that Penny could indeed become a permanent fixture on the show after her current scandal with Sally comes to a head.
The main reason she thinks Penny could become a regular is because the producers decided to give her character a first and last name.
She noticed that when the producers care enough to actually give a character a first and last name, it’s for a pretty important reason. When that happened, she knew her character would be sticking around for a while at the very least.
Monica is loving her long stint on the show too. She recently told the folks over at Soap Opera Digest, “It’s been exciting. I thought this was going to be a quick little thing. Just a couple of lines, but to get more of a story and flesh out a character. It has been great.”
It has not yet been officially confirmed by CBS if Penny will actually be a permanent character in “The Bold And The Beautiful” world just yet. This is all speculation at the moment, but I must say I did think Penny and Sally’s twist was quite interesting, and it was really getting good when they knocked out Flo.
Unfortunately, that’s when the show ran out of new episodes due to not being able to film new episodes because the terrible, Covid-19 pandemic mess.
As we previously reported in other articles, it looks like we will have to wait at least until the end of the summer 2020 before we see new episodes of The Bold And The Beautiful again.
The cast and crew is expected to stay shut down until at least the middle of June or early July 2020. If they are cleared at that time, they will actually have to film a couple of weeks’ worth of new episodes before they actually air.
