‘Baker And The Beauty’ Season 1, June 1, 2020 Episodes 8 & 9 Are The Finale. Season 2 Renewal Pending

Hey,”The Baker And The Beauty” fans. We hope you guys had a blast watching this entire season 1 of The Baker And The Beauty. It is indeed coming to a close ,tonight, as episodes 8 and 9 will be airing back-to-back, with episode 9 being the season 1 finale episode.

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to confirm if a season 2 is officially happening in this particular article because the folks over at ABC have not decided if they want to greenlight a season 2 yet.

However, we did find some encouraging news from the Baker And The Beauty showrunner Dean Georgaris. Apparently, he’s very optimistic about getting a season 2 renewal from ABC. He’s even gone as far as to already map out everything he wants to do in episode 2.

The folks over at TV Line recently interviewed Dean about this season 2 renewal possibility.

Dean told them, “We have Season 2 all mapped out, and we know the network is excited about it, which is good. It just makes it all the more edge-of-your-seat, if you’re us, for the next month or whatever it is before they make their decision.”

Dean went on to explain that ABC has been very supportive of the Beauty And The Baker stating, “It’s a business, but ABC has been incredibly supportive. They believe in the show, and they understand what we’re trying to do, and my hope is that there’ll still be room for us. I’m optimistic, but you do never know, especially given the current state of the world.”

In this final part of the interview, Dean mentioned that he really thinks ABC wants to bring back Baker And The Beauty if there’s a road map to do it stating, “Particularly in this environment with a pandemic and things shut down, there is no business as usual.

I think ABC had shows that made sense across the board that they knew they had to bring back. They had shows that they love, but they knew they couldn’t renew for whatever reason. And then they’ve got us and For Life, which I think are two shows they really want to bring back, and the hope is that there’s a road map to do it.”

Aside from all that, we took a look at the LIVE ratings and viewership numbers for season 1 of “The Baker And The Beauty.” It managed to pull in an average of 2.441 million LIVE viewers per episode and 0.46 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics.

The last episode 7 that aired on May 25, 2020 brought in 2.235 million LIVE viewers and a 0.40 ratings score.

Episode 2 was the highest viewed and highest rated episode with 2.823 million LIVE viewers and a 0.53 ratings score. Episode 2 was the least viewed episode with 2.277 million LIVE viewers. The lowest rated episode was episode 7 with the 0.40 ratings score.

To be honest, those aren’t great numbers for ABC. They usually cancel shows with those types of numbers. I saw them do it with “Grand Hotel” last summer. A lot of people were shocked.

If ABC does renew The Baker And The Beauty, it’ll come down to how much it cost to produce the show and other variables like that. Oh well. Cross your fingers. We’ll wait and see what ABC does.

Again, the season finale episodes 8 and 9 of “The Baker and The Beauty” is scheduled to air tonight, June 1, 2020, starting at approximately 8 pm central standard time on ABC, of course.

Alright guys. That’s all we’ve got for this latest “The Baker And The Beauty” TV show report, but definitely stay tuned for more.
