Supernatural Season 15, November 19 2020, Episode 20 Is The Finale. Season 16 Not Happening

Hey, “Supernatural” fans. This article is for you guys who never got the memo about Supernatural ending forever after tonight’s season 15, finale episode 20. That’s right, guys. After so many friggin years, our beloved Supernatural show has indeed come to an end forever and ever.

There will never be anymore episodes after tonight’s episode 20 until the end of time. We just wanted to make that crystal clear.

This wasn’t CW’s doing. They actually said as long as the main stars Jared Padalecki aka Sam Winchester and Jensen Ackles aka Dean Winchester wanted to keep doing it, they would keep the show around. So, we’re assuming that either Jared, Jensen or both of them decided to call it quits. Whatever the case, the show is over for good.

Back in early 2019, Jared and Jensen put out a Youtube video to make the official, show-ending announcement saying, “We just told the crew that though we’re very, very excited about moving into our 15th season, it will be our last.

Fifteen years of a show that has certainly changed my life, and we just wanted you to hear from us that though we’re excited about next year, it will be the finale. The big, grand finale of an institution.”

Also, at that time, the executive producers/showrunners Robert Singer and Andrew Dabb made a statement saying, “Firstly, we would like to thank all the people who have been involved with the show both in front of and behind the camera.

For us, it has been an experience of a lifetime. The support we have had from both Warner Bros Television and The CW has been incredible. We’d like to give special thanks to Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins for making this journey so special. It is now most important to us to give these characters that we love the send off they deserve.”

Supernatural’s current and last season 15 averaged 1.118 million LIVE viewers per episode and a 0.29 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics.

The most recent episode 19, which aired on November 12, 2020, brought in 1.00 million LIVE viewers. So, the show will definitely end on the same good note as far as the viewership and ratings are concerned. RIP Supernatural.

Tonight’s November 19, 2020 finale episode 20 will feature a special with cast interviews and behind the scenes clips in the 7 pm central standard time slot. Then it will wrap up with the actual last episode in the 8 pm central standard time slot.
