The Bachelorette December 21, 2020 Brendan Quit, Ben Returned And More (Recap)

Hey, Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight, December 21, 2020, another new episode of The Bachelorette 2020 with Tayshia Adams did indeed air. Tonight’s episode was the overnight dates featuring Tayshia’s final three guys: Zac, Ivan and Brendan, but there was definitely a surprise at the end that we really didn’t see coming.

Tonight’s episode kicked off with the final three guys chit chatting about their possible future with Tayshia. After that, they showed footage of Tayshia and former Bachelorette headliner JoJo Fletcher talking. Taysha told JoJo,”I could definitely fall in love with more than one person.”

They talked about all the logistics that might come up with Tayshia’s future husband selection. JoJo gave Tayshia encouraging words by telling her, “You’re going to feel so good when you finally reach the end of your season and get engaged.”

Next, host Chris Harrison was seen showing up to tell the guys, they need to make sure they are really ready to be married at this stage because Tayshia is serious about finding a husband. Then he gave them the first overnight date card, which revealed that Ivan was up first.

Ivan and Tayshia ended up going to a very cold ice bath. Tayshia told Ivan she wanted he and her to break the record for the longest ice bath kiss. So, they changed into their bathing suit attire to see if they could get it done.

They got into the ice bath, and they were obviously extremely cold at first. Then they started kissing. Eventually, they got real numb and just kept kissing until they finally broke the real,actual world record for kissing while in an ice bath by doing it for a total of 6 minutes and 35 seconds!

During the second half of their date, Tayshia and Ivan talked over dinner. Tayshia told Ivan, “I feel like I can trust you. I have fun with you, and I can be vulnerable with you. You were the first one I felt that way about.”

Ivan told Tayshia, “I honestly started falling in love with you a couple of weeks ago. I’m undoubtedly falling in love with you right now. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner.” Tayshia said, “I’ve definitely been falling for you too.” Then they kissed.

Tayshia told the private cams, “I think it’s the breakthrough we needed to have.” Tayshia and Ivan did agree to go to the Fantasy suite.

Tayshia told the private cams, “I feel like I’m really falling in love with Ivan. I can see myself with Ivan. He’s literally everything.” Their overnight date cut out with them kissing in bed. Then they were spotted hanging out with each other the next morning. Tayshia told the private cams, “I feel like Ivan and I could have a beautiful life together.”

Zac was next up with his overnight date with Tayshia. On the first half of their date, they ended up going to do some body painting, which means they threw paint on each other and rolled around on a big, paper mat. They appeared to have a lot of fun. Eventually, they kissed on the mat.

During the second half of their date, Tayshia brought up that Zac didn’t want kids in the past. Zac told Taysha that he does want a family now. In the past, he told himself that he didn’t want a family because it seemed like the easy thing to do after being hurt so much. Love is hard and so on and so forth.

Zac went on to tell Tayshia, “I know that I love you. I like the way you treat people. I like everything abut you, and I think it’s important for you to know that.” Tayshia said, “I love you too,” and they kissed.

Tayshia and Zac both agreed to go to the Fantasy suite. In the fantasy suite, they were seen kissing on the bed before the cameras cut out. Then they were seen dancing on the bed the next morning. They also had a little, morning chit chat session.

Tayshia told the private cams, “I could see myself ending up with either of these men,and I feel like I will have to face some tough goodbyes pretty soon.”

Brendan and Tayshia’s overnight date was up next. Tayshia took Brendan to meet Neil Lane who is the diamond ring guy for The Bachelor Nation franchise. He showed them how he makes the beautiful jewelry.

Brendan told the private cams, “Looking at all these rings and jewelry that symbolize marriage was scary to me.”

Brendan and Tayshia sat down and talked with Neil for a bit. Tayshia told the private cams, “There seems to be some type of disconnect with Brendan.” She also mentioned that Brendan is the first guy she fell for this season. “He has everything,” she said.

During the second half of their date, Tayshia told the private cams, “I’m hoping ,tonight, we can really find that we have something to grow on.”

Tayshia and Brendan talked. Tayshia got right to the point and told Brendan, “I feel like we had a connection ever since day one, and I really liked that. Right now, I’m feeling lost. I don’t know where you are. I feel stressed.”

Brendan told Tayshia, “Today, definitely reinforced that gravity of everything. I don’t take this lightly at all. When I came here, I thought I was ready in my mind, but there’s a big part of me that’s still broken and needs time to heal and grow.

Today, my heart isn’t whole, and it really breaks my heart because you deserve a man that is complete and healed from his past. Unfortunately, right now, I’m not that man. I’m so sorry.”

Tayshia said, “As much as I would be ready to be with you, I’m not going to force you if you’re not ready. A younger version of me would mad at you, but I know what you’ve been through. We’ve both gone through a divorce. Can I walk you out?”

They hugged goodbye. Brendan told Tayshia,”Thank you, Tayshia. God Bless you, okay.” After that, Tayshia cried as Brendan’s exit car drove away.

Tayshia told the private cams, “I really thought I was going to be with Brendan. Every single day, he was the one I thought I was going to be with.”

Next,we got footage of former Bachelorette headliner Rachel Lindsay showing up to talk with Tayshia about everything and to give her some advice.

After all of that, Ben who was eliminated after hometowns returned! He told host Chris Harrison, “I just feel the need to express myself. I’m in love with Tayshia, and I need to tell her. I would just like to resolve that really weird break up that happened.”

Next, we saw Ben showing up to talk with Tayshia. He told her, “I just really need to talk to you. I know I’m catching you off guard. I should be long gone I know.

When you eliminated me, I was caught off guard, and I didn’t know what to do or say. The feelings I’ve been having. I didn’t know what they were, but I’m in love with you. I blew it by not saying it in the moment. The life we could have together, it keeps me awake at night, and I just had to tell you. Are you alright?”

Tayshia said, “No, I’m not alright. I’m gonna need a minute okay.” Tayshia teared up and told the private cams, “I’m gonna cry. I don’t what to do. I have a rose ceremony coming up. What am I supposed to do with that?” And that was the episode, guys.

Everything will be continued tomorrow night ,December 22, 2020 in the big, finale episode, starting at approximately 7 pm central standard time on ABC.

Just to recap, Brendan did quit. So, he’s gone, leaving just Ivan, Zac and possibly Ben who shockingly returned.
