The Bachelorette December 22, 2020 Tayshia Picked Her Final Guy In The Finale (Recap)

Hey, Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight, December 22, 2020, ABC finally wrapped up their latest season of The Bachelorette with Tayshia Adams, and she did indeed get engaged at the end of it.

Tonight’s episode kicked off with the continuation of Ben’s shocking return. He told Tayshia, “I’m in love you. I didn’t tell you before because it was an intense feeling. I was scared. The way you make me feel is the way I’ve been wanting to feel my entire life.

I just couldn’t leave without telling you this. I don’t expect anything from you. I just wanted to tell you how I feel.”

Tayshia said, “I just wish I had of heard it sooner.” Ben said, “I’m sorry. I’m really sorry.” Then they hugged and kissed. Tayshia told Ben he could come to the rose ceremony.

Tayshia told the private cams, “Ben showing up effects everything. I just don’t want to make a bad decision.”

Next, it was time for the rose ceremony. All the guys showed up, one by one. Zac and Ivan were shocked to see Ben show up. He told them, “Tayshia invited me to be here. So, I’m just here to see what happens.”

Tayshia finally arrived. She told them, “Things just didn’t work out with Brendan. Ben is here. I’m just trying to navigate this the best that I can. It means I care about all of you.”

Before Tayshia passed out the roses, she asked Ivan to talk. Tayshia told Ivan, “I think we started off strong and found that trust, but there are some things that posed some concern.” She said it was something to do with their religious beliefs not lining up.

Ivan said, “I hate that it couldn’t work out.” Then they hugged goodbye. Ivan told the private cams how much he thought it sucked that she and Tayshia didn’t work out and so on and so forth.

Next, Tayshia told Ben and Zac, “Some things just didn’t align for me and Ivan. I feel good about you guys.” Then, she gave both Zac and Ben a rose.

After all of that, it was family time with Tayshia. She greeted her family and told them everything that went on with her final guys. Tayshia’s father was skeptical about Ben coming back after getting sent home saying, “Maybe he didn’t put his best foot forward.”

From there, we saw Ben show up to greet Tayshia’s family. Ben talked with Tayshia’s mother and told her, “I’m in love with your daughter. This is definitely a forever thing.”

Ben talked with Tayshia’s father. Ben told him, “It’s my fault that we were on different pages. I’m in love with your daughter. I didn’t say it sooner because I was afraid that it wouldn’t be reciprocated.” Tayshia’s father appreciated how sincere Ben was. He said, “I was doubtful of Ben at first, but now I feel better about him.”

Next, Zac met Tayshia’s family. Tayshia talked to her dad about Zac saying, “He’s just a good guy.”

Zac talked with Tayshia’s mother saying, “I love her, and my feelings just get stronger every time I see her, honestly.”

Zac talked with Tayshia’s father. Zac told him, “I was married back in 2009, but I was not ready for it at the time. Supporting Tayshia through the tough times is actually what I look forward to. I’m not scared of the expectations that you set for her. I take this very serious. I’m not going to do this unless I’m absolutely serious.”

Tayshia’s father liked Zac and had good things to say about him. Tayshia and Zac kissed after it was all done.

Tayshia told the private cams, “There’s a part of my heart that wants what both Ben and Zac have to offer.”

Next, they showed footage of Tayshia’s father coming to to talk to her alone. He told her, “We don’t want you to make a mistake. I’m worried. I can’t let this happen this time. Ben and Zac seem like good guys, but I’m worried. I don’t want you to make the biggest mistake of your life.” After he left, Tayshia told the private cams, “Oh my God. I’m so confused. This is too much.”

Next, Zac and Tayshia did their final 1 on 1 date of this season. They talked. Tayshia asked Zac how he felt about everything. He said he’s ready. Zac told the private cams, “I felt a heaviness from Tayshia. She’s allowed to feel doubt, but I want her to know I’m not going anywhere.”

Zac and Tayshia ended up going to take dance lessons during the first half of their date. Tayshia was feeling a little bit off at first, but they eventually learned the dance and appeared to have a fun time.

During the second half of their date, Zac told the private cams, “I need Tayshia to go to bed being absolutely certain about me because I don’t think she’s there yet.”

Tayshia and Zac talked. He basically spent the whole time trying to convince her that he’s not going to run away from her when things get tough. It seemed like he did a good job, saying all the right things because Tayshia toasted to him for making her feel safe, heard and a whole bunch of other good things.

Zac told the private cams, “I love Zac. There’s so much sincerity behind what he says. I know where he’s at. I’m going to bed feeling good about Zac.”

Ben was very confident going into his 1 on 1 date with Tayshia saying, “I think I’m going to propose to Tayshia, and she’s going to say yes.”

Meanwhile, Tayshia told the private cams, “I know what my heart wants, and it’s not Ben. I don’t like hurting people.”

Tayshia told Ben, “I care about you so much. I just feel like my heart is with somebody else. I truly did want to give us another chance.” Ben said, “I was really excited to be back. My love for you doesn’t change. I saw things differently, but if you truly love someone, you want them to be happy. I’m happy for you. I’m dead serious.” Tayshia said, “I know,” and they hugged.

Ben told the private cams, “I put all of myself into this. I thought I was going to be her husband. I lost a really good thing. All the things I saw in her. Our life would’ve been so good. She was perfect for me.”

Zac picked out engagement rings with Neil Lane. Tayshia told the private cams, “I know I love Zac, but it’s still scary. That makes me question is it still too soon?”

Tayshia showed up to talk to Chris Harrison. She said, “I question if I’ve ever been in true love until now. I’m so excited.” Then she teared up and gave Chris a hug.

Zac told the private cams, “Today, means everything. Tayshia is literally everything I could’ve ever dreamed for. I’ve done everything in my power to get to this moment. So, I owe it to her to not let fear be an option.”

Zac told Tayshia, “Nothing has ever felt so right in my entire life. You helped me experience a love I never thought existed. I love you. I love everything about you. I promise to be loyal to you.”

Tayshia told Zac, “I was extremely excited for the possibility of finding true love. You are kind. You’ve been though a lot, but never given up. You read me better than anyone ever has. Yes,this love is real. I feel it too. I’m ready to start a life with you. I love you, Zac Clark. I will do absolutely anything to keep that huge smile on your face.”

Zac told Tayshia,”If you let me. I wanna chose you ,right now, and forever. I love you.” Then Zac got down on one knee and said,”Will you marry me?” Tayshia screamed, “Yes, I love you!” Then, they kissed and hugged.
