Big Brother 23 Spoilers: August 17, 2021 POV Ceremony Results Revealed
Hey, “Big Brother” fans. We hope your Tuesday is going well. We are, of course, back on here with another very important update from inside the Big Brother season 23 house. Yesterday, August 16, 2021, the POV (Power Of Veto) ceremony did indeed take place resulting in a major switch up of the eviction nominees. We’re going to tell you exactly what happened in this article.
Before we get into the POV ceremony results, we’re going to do a really quick recap of this week ,so far, just in case a few people are behind on what has taken place. This past Thursday night, August 12, 2021, Kyland became the new ruler of the house for the second time this season by claiming the latest HOH (Head Of Household) competition.
Then, on Friday, August 13, 2021, Kyland ended up throwing Claire and Derek F on the eviction chopping block during his nomination ceremony.
On Saturday, August 14, 2021, the POV competition was played, and Alyssa ended up winning it for her first comp win of the season. Kyland bet on Alyssa to win the POV comp through the latest High Roller’s room twist. So, he got a second veto for guessing right. That all brings us to yesterday’s POV ceremony action.
During the POV ceremony, Alyssa declined using her veto powers to save anyone. However, Kyland did use his veto to pull Claire off the block. Then, he replaced Claire with Britini. So, Britini and Derek F are now the final eviction nominees, and one of them will definitely be leaving the house this Thursday night, August 19, 2021. Since Britini is Kyland’s main target, we expect to see Britini be the unlucky houseguest that gets the boot.
Like clockwork, Britini threw another hissy fit for being nominated. She cried and cried and cried for God only knows how long. At one point, Tiffany tried to give some advice to Britini to just calm down and go have an adult conversation with Kyland later on. On the other hand, Azah did the complete opposite by agging Britini on, telling her it was all personal that Kyland put her up and not a game move. It was ridiculous.
At around 1:30 pm pacific time yesterday, August 16, 2021, Derek F told Azah, “I’m thinking about sabotaging myself.” Azah said, “Don’t do that. I’m going to vote for you to stay.” Derek F told her not to, but Azah said, “I have to because I can’t go back on that.”
At around 1:56 pm, Derek X was seen laughing with Tiffany and Hannah about Derek F still thinking he’s the target this week.
At around 2:25 pm, Sarah told Tiffany that Britini is definitely Kyland’s target this week.
At around 2:54 PM, Tiffany, Claire and Hannah were seen all agreeing that they would have to sacrifice their own games to save Britini, and that wouldn’t be a good move. So, they are definitely on board with voting Britini out.
At around 9:15 PM, Tiffany was seen telling Derek X that she likes the idea of keeping Britini over Derek F. I think that was just to further throw Derek X off of suspecting the Cookout alliance is in existence.
At around 11:10 PM, Tiffany told Derek F, “You’ve got the votes. You’re safe this week.” At around 11:20 PM, Kyland reassured Derek F that Britini is his target this week.
Judging from those conversations, it definitely seems that Britini’s eviction fate is sealed for this Thursday night. However, we do still have to provide our usual disclaimer, which is that it’s Big Brother, and anything can happen between now and Thursday night. So, we’ll have to wait and see. Let’s just say we won’t be surprised if Britini is the one giving the exit interview to Julie Chen-Moonves this Thursday night.
How do you guys feel about Kyland using his veto to take Claire off the eviction chopping block and putting up Britini in her place as the main target this week? Let us know in the comments section.
