The Bachelorette November 23, 2021 Eliminated Clayton, Martin, Olumide & Rick (Recap)
Hey, Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight, November 23, 2021, another new episode for The Bachelorette 2021 edition with headliner Michelle Young did indeed air, and another 4, unlucky guys got sent packing at the end.
Tonight’s episode kicked off with the guys talking about getting a rose this week so they can make it into the hometowns episode. Elsewhere, they showed footage Michelle talking with her 5th grade students because they were setting up the dates in this episode. The kids eventually went to meet the guys, and they told them, they’re planning all the dates.
The kids asked the guys questions. One of the female kids said she didn’t like Martin. She thought he was trying to show off and wears too much cologne. At the end, the kids ultimately picked Clayton to go on a 1 on 1 date with Michelle.
Clayton showed up to meet Michelle, and she seemed happy to see him. They hopped in a limo and ate food in the limo. They appeared to have a good time. Michelle told the private cams, “I’m happy with the way things are progressing with Clayton.”
Next, Michelle and Clayton went to a museum and played a game where they asked each other questions about what they want and so on and so forth. They also went into a planetarium and got a presentation that was put together by the kids. At the end of the presentation, they kissed. So, it still seemed to be going well at that point.
During the second half of their date, Clayton talked about how he is ready to do whatever it takes to make a relationship work. Michelle talked about how she stuck to who she is in her past relationship. Michelle to the private cams, “I care about Clayton, but I’m starting to get a feeling that something is missing for me.”
Michelle told Clayton, “I don’t think I’m able to get to a place with you quick enough where I feel I’m ready to meet your family. There’s nothing wrong with you. There’s just a different type of connection I need.” From there, Michelle sent Clayton home. Michelle told the private cams, “There was just a piece missing where I couldn’t get my feelings there. Clayton is a wonderful person. He’s just not my person.”
Clayton gave the kids a hug. They gave him a note saying they were sorry Michelle didn’t pick him. They think he would be a really great husband and to not be too sad. Clayton teared up and told the private cams, “This reminds me of how much I want a family and kids one day.”
Rick, Rodney, Nayte, Joe, Martin and Olumide went on a group date with Michelle. She took them to a farm. They ended up milking cows. They fed some baby cows. They churned butter, and they cleaned up cow poop while trying to flirt with Michelle.
During the afterparty, Michelle talked 1 on 1 with Nayte. Nayte told Michelle, “I’ve never introduced someone to my dad. I was told never to talk about girls with my dad when I was growing up.” He went on to say that he is looking forward to introducing Michelle to his parents. He told Michelle, “I’m genuinely falling for you, and I’ve never felt this way before.” Michelle reciprocated Nayte’s feelings, and they kissed.
Michelle told Joe, “I had no idea you were so nurturing with the cows.” He said he had previously worked on a cow farm when he was younger. So, he felt right at home. They said some other sweet nothings to each other and kissed.
Michelle and Rick talked. Michelle talked with Rodney. Rodney told Michelle, “I need you to see where I come from and what I’m about.” Michelle said, “I care about you, and I want to know more about you.” Then, they kissed.
Meanwhile, Martin was seen telling a couple of the other guys that he thinks Michelle still has issues from when she was child and that she’s immature. That raised red flags with Olumide. He claimed Martin was being two-faced with Michelle.
Michelle talked with Martin. Martin told Michelle, “I think you’re amazing and handle yourself like a woman.” Then, they kissed. However, that would be very short-lived because Olumide pulled Michelle aside to tell her everything Martin said about her being immature and what not. Michelle told Olumide, “Thank you for telling me this information. It is huge,” and they hugged.
Michelle told the private cams, “There has been some uneasiness with Martin. So I need clarity right now.” Michelle pulled Martin aside for a 1 on 1 chat to confront him about the negative comments he made about her behind her back.
Martin tried to deny it at first. Then, he tried to claim that his words were phrased wrong or something. Whatever the case, Michelle was buying it. She told Martin, “You’re not being honest with me, and I don’t trust you. So, I have to follow my heart and walk you out.” Martin said, “I hope you find your soul mate. I really do.”
Michelle told the private cams, “What Martin did is painful.” Martin told the private cams, “I’m not sad that I’m going home. I’m sad about the way Michelle handled it. At this point, she’s not worth my time.” Meanwhile, Michelle ended up giving Nayte the group date rose.
Next, Brandon J and Michelle went on a 1 on 1 date. She took him to get ice cream. They fed each other ice cream and kissed. Then, Michelle took Brandon to her childhood house. Her parents weren’t there at the time. She gave him a tour. They looked at her childhood photos. They talked some more and kissed.
At one point, they went swimming in the pool ,and they kissed some more while in the pool. Then, Michelle’s parents came home and caught them kissing in the pool. Michelle’s parents greeted them with smiles and hugs. Then, they sat down and talked.
Michelle’s parents asked Brandon, “How do you feel about Michelle?” Brandon said, “Michelle is the most wonderful person I’ve ever met.” Michelle’s mother said, “Nice answer. You two look very good together.”
Brandon went on to tell them how many kids he wants with Michelle. He also asked them for advice, and they gave them advice about always working your way through the ups and downs.
At one point, Brandon asked Michelle’s parents for their blessing to marry Michelle. They said, “If Michelle is happy with you, you have our blessing.”
During the second half of Michelle and Brandon’s date, they talked some more. Brandon told Michelle, “Your parents are nicest, most genuine people I’ve ever met. I just hope I was able to make a good first impression.” Then, Brandon gave Michelle a special bracelet. She loved it. Brandon told Michelle, “I’m falling in love with you.” Michelle said, “My heart is beating a million miles a second right now,” and they kissed.
Michelle told Brandon, “I can see you being my best friend. Will you accept this rose so I can see what makes you you?” Of course, Brandon accepted the rose, and they kissed.
Next, during the cocktail party, co-hosts Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams showed up to tell the guys, “There will be no cocktail party tonight. Michelle already knows what she wants to do.” So, they went right into the rose ceremony.
During it, Michelle gave Joe and Rodney a rose to join Nayte and Brandon J who received a roses earlier in the episode. That means poor Olumide and Rick did not get a rose. So, they made their sad exit to join Martin and Clayton who were sent packing earlier in the episode.
So, Michelle will be visiting Nayte, Brandon J, Joe and Rodney’s families in next week’s hometown dates.
The next, new episode of The Bachelorette 2021 edition with headliner Michelle Young is scheduled to air next Tuesday night, November 30, 2021 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on ABC.
