Law & Order SVU Season 23, December 16, 2021 Episode 10 Delayed. Not Airing For A While

Hey,”Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” fans. You need to sit tight because you’re not going to like what we have to tell you in this article. It turns out that your favorite NBC drama is currently in delay mode. That means NBC will not be airing the next, new episode 10 of Law & Order: SVU’s current season 23 tonight, December 16, 2021.

That’s right, guys. Law & Order: SVU is currently in the midst of a long, 3-week delay. NBC let us know that they plan to finally air the new episode 10 on Thursday night, January 6, 2022 in its usual, 8 pm central standard time slot. So, definitely make sure to remember that very important date and time.

We took a look at NBC’s primetime schedule for this 3-week delay. Here is what they will be airing instead of Law & Order: SVU. Tonight, NBC is going to air a production called, “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors (2015).”

NBC’s official description for it reads like this,”In 1955 Tennessee, 9-year-old Dolly Parton (Alyvia Alyn Lind) and her family (Jennifer Nettles, Gerald McRaney) discover the healing power of faith and love while struggling to overcome tragedy.”


Then, next Thursday night, December 23, 2021, NBC is going to air an episode of, “Young Rock” in the 7 pm central standard time slot. It’s titled, “A Christmas Peril.” NBC’s description for it reads like this, “Christmas Eve, 1982: An unexpected guest shows Dewey that this is the first in a long line of terrible Christmases. In 1987, Rocky and Dwayne take jobs as a mall Santa and elf. In 1993, Dwayne reluctantly spends a disastrous Christmas with Coach O.”

In the 7:30 pm central standard time slot, NBC is going to air an episode of, “Mr. Mayor.” It’s titled,”Mr. Mayor’s Magical L.A. Christmas.” NBC’s official description for it reads like this, “Neil serves his love of gift-giving by forcing his disgruntled staff to work on “L.A. Christmas Eve” as they wait for his perfect gift to arrive.”

On Thursday night, December 30, 2021, NBC is going to air a repeat episode of “Law & Order: SVU.” It will be the 6th episode of this season 23 titled, “THE FIVE HUNDREDTH EPISODE.” NBC’s official description for it reads like this, “Amaro asks the SVU for help in clearing a convicted man’s name and brings a figure from Benson’s past back into her life.”

If any of you guys are down to watch that alternate line of programming, you might still want to watch NBC like you normally would during that time.

If you only want more of new, Law & Order: SVU episodes, you will definitely want to get some other things line up for Thursday night until that January 6, 2022 date rolls around.

Spoiler Warning: For those of you who are interested, we were able to track down some spoilery material for the next, new episode 10 of Law & Order: SVU’s current season 23. NBC revealed that the official title for episode 10 is called, “Burning With Rage Forever.”

NBC also put out an official preview clip for episode 10. It features some major drama taking place involving some bombs that have been planted. If one of them goes off, they will tear the whole city apart!

Again, NBC confirmed that the next, new episode 10 of Law & Order: SVU is scheduled to finally make its way to the air on Thursday night, January 6, 2022 at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
