Grey’s Anatomy Season 18, December 23, 2021 Episode 9 Delayed. Not Airing For A While
Hey, “Grey’s Anatomy” fans. It is with great displeasure that we have to break some very bad news to you guys in this article. It turns out that your favorite ABC, medical drama Grey’s Anatomy has hit a very thick delay. So, ABC will not be airing the next, new episode 9 of Grey’s Anatomy’s current season 18 tonight, December 23, 2021. They also won’t be airing it for many more Thursday nights.
That’s right, guys. We’ve just learned that Grey’s Anatomy is currently in the midst of a two-month delay! ABC let us know that they finally plan to air the new episode 9 on Thursday night, February 24, 2022 in its usual, 8 pm central standard time slot. So, definitely be sure that you don’t forget that very important date and time.
We took a look at what ABC will be airing in Grey’s Anatomy’s place over the next two weeks. According to the TV guide listings, ABC is going to air a Christmas special called, “A Very Boy Band Holiday.”
ABC’s official description for it reads like this, “Favorite boy band members sing their holiday hits and celebrate the season. Performers include Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, Lance Bass, Wanya Morris, Shawn Stockman, Bobby Brown, Michael Bivins, Joey McIntyre, Erik-Michael Estrada and Nick Lachey.”
Next Thursday night, December 30, 2021, ABC will air the 2013 movie “Frozen.” ABC’s official description for it reads like this, “A fearless young princess (Kristen Bell) sets out with a mountaineer (Jonathan Groff) to find her sister (Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped their kingdom in eternal winter.”
After the December 30, 2021 date, you guys will need to check your local listings if you want to see what ABC has planned next for the duration of this long, extended delay of Grey’s Anatomy.
If that alternate line of programming seems appealing to any of you guys, you might still want to flip on ABC tonight as you normally would. If this alternate line of programming is absolutely unacceptable to you guys, you will certainly want to get something else lined up for Thursday nights until that magical, February 24, 2022 date gets here.
Spoiler Warning: For those of you who like spoilers, we were able to find a little something, something for the next, new episode 9 of Grey’s Anatomy’s current season 18 via ABC’s official episode 9 preview clip.
The clip reveals that Grey’s anatomy will be doing another crossover edition with its spin off show Station 19. A very dramatic, intense and suspenseful suv accident will take place in Station 19. Then, they will rush the victim to Grey Sloan Memorial for the Grey’s Anatomy crossover.

Again, ABC confirmed that the next, new episode 9 of Grey’s Anatomy’s current season 18 is scheduled to finally make its debut on Thursday night, February 24, 2022 at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
