Hey, “The Rookie” fans. Unfortunately, it’s time for us to give you guys some bad news again. For some unknown reason, ABC is not going to deliver the next, new episode 17 of The Rookie’s current season 4 tonight, March 20, 2022. They’re also not going to air it next Sunday night, March 27, 2022.

So, certainly be sure to get that very important date and time locked into your memory.

We did take the time to see what ABC will be airing in place of new The Rookie episodes over this two-week delay period. According to the TV guide listings, ABC is going to air a dance special tonight. It’s called, “Step Into The Movies With Derek and Julianne Hough.”

ABC’s official description for it reads like this,”A star-studded cast of singers, dancers and actors pays homage to the most iconic moments of dance on film by reimagining the most legendary cinematic performances through a modern lens.”

Then, next Sunday night, ABC is going to be providing LIVE coverage of the 2022 Oscar Awards. ABC’s official description for it reads like this, “Honors for achievements in film take place at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland in Los Angeles. Regina Hall, Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes host.”

If that alternate line of programming sounds enticing to any of you guys, you might still want to stick with ABC on Sunday nights during this 2-week delay. However, if you only want to see brand new episodes of The Rookie’s current season 4, you will definitely want to get some other plans in the works at your earliest convenience and wait for that glorious, April 3, 2022 date to arrive.

Spoiler Warning: For those of you who are interested, we were able to track down some spoilery material for the next, new episode 17 of The Rookie’s current season 4 via an official episode 17 preview clip that ABC served up. We also have an official title for episode 17. It’s called, “Coding.”

The new episode 17 preview clip reveals that a man is going to take full control of the Hospital’s computer systems saying, “I’ve taken over the entire network. I have total control of this hospital. If my wife doesn’t get the heart, people start dying.” Later, the man is seen saying, “Do you really think I care what happens to me” when they threaten him.

The clip caps off with officer Nolan trying to convince the man’s wife that she needs to tell her husband to stop his madness, but she says, “I don’t wanna die.” So, it doesn’t look like she’s going to provide any help. Another delay
The team at ABC don’t get it…..With these continous ongoing delays I am fast losing patience with wanting to view the next episode and losing interest. I bet I’m not the only one moving away from the show …more delays….. more viewers exodus due to lack of interest and shows cancelled…maybe thats what the studio wants…..hey is it time for contract renewals???
