New SWAT Season 5 Spoilers For April 24, 2022 Episode 18 Revealed

Hey, “S.W.A.T.” fans. It’s that time again. We’ve got some new spoiler scoops for you guys. In this particular article, we’re going to be telling you a couple of things you can expect to see play out in the next, new episode 18 of SWAT’s current season 5 when it arrives next Sunday night, April 24, 2022.

We were able to collect a couple of new, official teaser descriptions for this new episode 18 from CBS’ official episode 18 press release. So, we’re going to open those up, right now, and see what is coming your way next week.

First thing’s first. CBS revealed that this new episode 18 does have an official title, which is called, “Family.” It sounds like episode 18 will deliver some very scandalous, intense, dramatic, emotional, action-filled, suspenseful and interesting scenes as a prominent judge gets assassinated! Luca’s brother gets arrested and more.

We’ll go ahead and start off this spoiler session with the assassination situation. Yep, it turns out that things are going to get very intense in this one as a prominent judge will end up losing his life to the hands of a vicious assassin. The murdered judge just also happens to be a longtime friend of Robert Hicks. So, we’re going to see Hicks gather up the SWAT team to launch an immediate investigation into why the judge was targeted and to track down the shooter.

CBS’ official description for this assassination plotline tells us, “When Hicks witnesses the assassination of his longtime friend, a prominent judge, the team races to find the shooter and determine why he was targeted.” An alternate description reads like this, “THE TEAM SEARCHES FOR THE GUNMAN RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ASSASSINATION OF A PROMINENT JUDGE AND WORKS TO DETERMINE WHY HE WAS TARGETED.”

The second and final teaser spoiler for this new episode 18 lets us know that Luca’s brother named Terry will end up getting himself thrown in jail at some point. This will cause Luca to struggle as he tries to figure out a way to help Terry.

CBS’ description for this Luca and Terry storyline reads like this, “Also, Luca struggles with how to help his brother, Terry (Ryan Hurst), after he’s arrested on the CBS Original series S.W.A.T.

Episode 18 will feature quite a few guest stars. They are: David Rees Snell as character (Det. Burrows), JJ Nolan (Naomi), Farley Jackson as character (Mac), Tara Grammy as character (April), Terrence Hardy Jr. as character (Anthony), Kristin Carey as character (Maggie).

Guest stars continued: Jessie Eggleston as character (Jaime), Jillian Peterson as character (Julia), Andy Umberger as character (Judge Walker), Troy Blendell as character (Young) and Brian Maillard as character (Richard).

Episode 18 will feature one recurring star. That one person is: Obba Babatundé as character (Daniel Sr.)
and Ryan Hurst as character (Terry).

The season regulars that will be featured in episode 18 are: Shemar Moore as character (Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson), Alex Russell as character (Jim Street), Jay Harrington as character (David “Deacon” Kay), Lina Esco as character (Christina “Chris” Alonso), Kenny Johnson as character (Dominique Luca), David Lim as character (Victor Tan) and Patrick St. Esprit as character (Commander Robert Hicks).

Episode 18 was written by Mia Fichman, and it was directed by Alrick Riley.

CBS’ press release confirmed that the next, new episode 18 of SWAT’s current season 5 is indeed scheduled to hit the air next Sunday night, April 24, 2022 at approximately 9 pm central standard time. It will also be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
