Good Sam Season 1, May 4, 2022 Episode 13 Is The Finale. Season 2 Not Yet Confirmed
Hey, “Good Sam” fans. We hope you guys totally enjoyed and savored every minute of tonight’s episode 13 because it may well be the very last episode you’ll ever see of Good Sam. That’s right, guys. Tonight’s episode 13 was the finale episode of Good Sam’s premiere season 1, and it’s currently not yet known if CBS will renew the show for a brand new season 2. We’re still waiting for CBS to reveal their decision.
Since we don’t have an official announcement from CBS about Good Sam’s future, we’re going to go ahead and take a look at how good it did in its first season in regards to the viewership and ratings numbers it was able to achieve.
Good Sam season 1 averaged 2.212 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.25 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 12, which aired last Wednesday night, April 27, 2022, drew in 2.045 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.21 ratings score.
The most-watched episode was the premiere episode 1 with 2.720 million LIVE viewers. The least-watched episode was episode 11 with 1.735 million LIVE viewers.
The highest-rated episode was episode 5 with a 0.38 ratings score. The lowest-rated episodes were episodes 10 and 11. They both tied for last place with a 0.20 ratings score.
Based on those numbers, we would not be surprised if CBS canceled this show. Those numbers seem quite low for a major network channel like CBS. We’ve seen them cancel shows with much higher viewership and ratings numbers in the past.
With that said, you just never know. The show might still be cheap enough for CBS to decide to keep it. However, if it’s costing them too much money, or they think they can replace it with a show that will do better in that time slot, we may unfortunately be saying goodbye to Good Sam and the lovely Sofia Bush. I still remember her from the good ole “One Tree Hill” days.
Anyways, I would advice you guys to cross your fingers real hard for this show to get renewed because I don’t think those numbers were compelling enough to be an automatic slam dunk. In fact, not anywhere close. If it were on a channel like The CW or some cable channel, those numbers would be fantastic, but for a major network like CBS, they seem quite low. But again, CBS is the one looking at the books. So, we’ll just have to wait and see what they have to say.
Alright, guys. That’s all the info we have for this latest, “Good Sam” TV show report, but definitely stay tuned for more.
