Hey,”NCIS: Hawaii” fans. We hope you guys totally enjoyed this very last episode 22 of NCIS: Hawaii’s current, premiere season 1 tonight. Yep, that’s right, guys. Tonight’s episode 22 was indeed the season 1 finale episode. So, we hope you savored every last minute of it because that’s going to be it for a while.

The good news is that won’t be it forever because we do have official confirmation that CBS did indeed renew NCIS: Hawaii for a brand new season 2. That’s right, guys. Bust open your champagne bottles because your favorite show is making another run in the 2022/2023 season with another set of all new episodes.

Currently, we don’t have the premiere date for the new season 2 or how many episodes it will feature. We’ll have to wait until that important info is released at a later date. However, we’re pretty sure it will be back in time for the Fall 2022. We would be surprised if it’s not.

According to the folks over at TVLine.com , CBS didn’t waste much time with their renewal plans for NCIS: Hawaii. It got an early renewal back in late March 2022 along with the original NCIS series and the NCIS: Los Angeles spin-off. So, the NCIS franchise was a winner all across the board.

During the renewal announcement, the president of CBS Entertainment Kelly Kahl delivered some very positive words about the NCIS franchise stating, “NCIS, one of the most popular and enduring series in the world, and fan favorite NCIS: Los Angeles have been hugely successful on the CBS schedule for years.

With the strong new addition of NCIS: Hawai’i, we are able to expand the strength of this formidable franchise across our schedule. We couldn’t be more excited to have all three talented casts and creative teams back to bring more compelling NCIS stories to viewers in the U.S. and around the globe.”

NCIS: Hawaii season 1 averaged 5.479 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.52 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 21, which aired last Monday night, May 16, 2022, drew in 4.965 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.32 ratings score.

The most-viewed episode was episode 12 with 9.789 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 14 with 4.542 million LIVE viewers.

The highest-rated episode was episode 12 with a 2.05 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 21 with a 0.32 ratings score. If you include the numbers that came in from the streaming platforms, season 2 actually averaged 8.4 million viewers per episode, and a 0.80 ratings score. It ranked 6th in viewership for CBS and 3rd in ratings scores.
