This current season 4 of FBI is officially a wrap, which means there will be no more new episodes for at least a couple of months.

Update: CBS delayed airing this episode on May 24, 2022 due to the horrible elementary school shooting in Texas. Currently, it is unknown when CBS will air it. We wrote an article about it. You can read it by Clicking Here.

On a much brighter note, we can officially tell you that you will definitely get to see more new episodes of FBI for quite some time because the wonderful CBS folks gave FBI a new season renewal not for just season 5, but also for season 6! That’s right, guys. CBS is so pleased with FBI’s performance that they went ahead and renewed it for two more friggin seasons.

Currently, we don’t know when the new season 5 will debut or how many episodes it will feature. However, based on CBS’ very confident, 2-season renewal, we’re guessing that FBI will probably get another full, 22-episode season and debut in the Fall 2022 sometime.

According to the folks over at TVLine.com , CBS announced the FBI season 5 renewal on May 9, 2022. The president of CBS Entertainment Kelly Kahl had some very nice things to say about the FBI franchise as a whole during the renewal announcement.

He stated, “The FBIs are one of the most successful brands in the entire TV landscape and a powerful cornerstone of our No. 1 lineup. They’ve attracted a dedicated, loyal fan base, thanks to the extraordinary vision of executive producer Dick Wolf and the talents of all three outstanding casts and creative teams. I know we and our viewers look forward to two additional seasons of engaging, heroic stories.”

FBI’s executive producer Dick Wolf revealed how excited the FBI cast and crew is over the multi-year renewal stating, “Everybody who works on these three shows is over the moon about the multi-year pickups. We are all incredibly grateful to CBS and our partners at Universal Television and CBS Studios, and I personally would like to thank the incredible casts, talented writers and dedicated producers, not to mention three crews who never missed an airdate despite the difficulties of producing full seasons during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

FBI season 4 averaged 7.477 million LIVE viewers, and 0.65 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 21, which aired last Tuesday night, May 17, 2022, drew in 7.145 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.56 ratings score.
