So You Think You Can Dance July 13, 2022 Eliminated Waverly & Anna (Recap)

Hey, “So You Think You Can Dance” fans. Tonight, July 13, 2022, another LIVE performances/results episode of So You Think You Can Dance’s current season 17 did indeed air with judges: Leah Remini, Stephen “tWitch” Boss and JoJo Siwa. Another two, unlucky contestants did get there walking papers at the end.

Tonight’s episode kicked off with host Cat Deeley revealing that the couples had to perform “Turn Back Time” dances. Then, each contestant had to perform a solo routine.

Beau & Ralyn started off tonight’s performances with a 50’s-Inspired Jazz routine. Afterwards, JoJo said, “You both have fun personalities, but the ending didn’t have high energy like I expected.” tWitch said, “Beau, that was up your ally. Bring your strengths to each pairing.” Leah said, “The storytelling needs to be more consistent.” After that, both Waverly and Anna served up their solo routines.

Keaton & Essence delivered a 70’s-Inspired Disco number. Afterwards, tWitch said, “Essence, you turned into a human helicopter. Keaton, you keep proving yourself week after week.” Leah said, “You two were the Disco King and Queen despite a few little missteps.” JoJo said, “There were a lot of technical mistakes, and the lifts were a little shakey.” Then, Carter and Alexis delivered their solo performances.

Waverly and Anna performed an 80’s Jazz routine. Afterwards, Leah said, “I love the 80’s, and I wanted to see more of it in the dance.” JoJo said, “You two brought the energy, but the timing and trust were both lacking.” tWitch said, “You two need to study the specifics of the steps better.” Then, Beau, Ralyn, Keaton and Essence delivered their solo numbers.

After all those solo routines, Carter & Alexis wrapped up the performances by dancing a 90’s-Inspired Contemporary number. Afterwards, JoJo said, “Alexis, it’s not a coincidence that you have been part of two of the best dances I’ve ever seen.” tWitch said, “Your chemistry is undeniable. Lock in this feeling and take it with you throughout this competition.” Leah said, “Carter, you were a leading man, and you two were connected from beginning to end.”

Next, host Cat Deeley revealed that everyone was safe except for Waverly, Ralyn, Anna and Beau. They were the bottom vote-getters. The judges got to save two of them, and they chose to save Ralyn and Beau. Unfortunately, that means poor Waverly and Anna got eliminated. How do you guys feel about that? Worst season ever, horrible dancers, bad choreography, most look like recitals from childrens dance studio.
