The Cleaning Lady Season 2 December 12, 2022 Episodes 11 & 12 Are The Finale. Season 3 Not Yet Confirmed
Hey, “The Cleaning Lady” fans. We hope you guys totally enjoyed and savored every minute of episodes 11 and 12 tonight, especially since those were indeed the very last episodes of this current season 2. That’s right, guys. Episodes 11 and 12 were the season 2 finale episodes. That means they could very well be the last episodes of The Cleaning Lady forever!
The reason why we say that is because we have yet to get an official announcement from FOX on if they will renew The Cleaning Lady for a brand new season 3. Everything is currently up in the air as to the future of The Cleaning Lady.
The people over at TVLine.com have a renewal scorecard set up, and it’s telling us that the The Cleaning Lady is basically on the bubble right now, meaning it could go either way. They’re not really sure if it will get renewed or not.
After looking at the season 2 numbers that The Cleaning Lady delivered for FOX, we definitely agree with TVLine’s opinion. We actually had that same opinion at the conclusion of season 1. At the time, we thought it could go either way, and we wouldn’t have been surprised if FOX canceled it. We still feel that same way after season 2 because it put up similar numbers to season 1.
The Cleaning Lady season 2 averaged 2.162 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.31 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 10, which aired last Monday night, December 5, 2022, drew in 1.541 million LIVE viewers, and 0.23 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was the premiere episode 1 with 2.399 million LIVE viewers. The leased-viewed episode was episode 10 with 1.541 million LIVE viewers. The highest-rated episode was episode 3 with a 0.37 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 10 with a 0.23 ratings score.
Again, those numbers seem very similar to the numbers that season 1 put up. So, I would tell you guys to cross your fingers really hard, once again, for a renewal of this show. FOX renewed it last year. So, it is highly possible that they could do it again.
However, based on those pretty low numbers, we wouldn’t be surprised if they went ahead and decided to call it quits for The Cleaning Lady. I think it’ll depend on if FOX has any other new shows they think could do better in The Cleaning Lady’s current time slot and also the actual cost of purchasing another season of The Cleaning Lady. We’ll see. Only time will tell right now.
