The Bachelor March 6, 2023 Eliminated Greer, Brooklyn & Katherine (Recap)
Hey, Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight, March 6, 2023, another new episode of The Bachelor 2023 edition with headliner Zach Shallcross did indeed hit the air, and some more sad eliminations did take place.
Tonight’s episode kicked off with the reveal that Zach and his remaining ladies had traveled over to Budapest,Germany. Host Jesse Palmer was seen telling Zach that Greer is coming back after recovering from Covid. Zach said,”I’m really excited to see Greer again.” Then, he went to tell Jesse how he feels about his remaining women. He did mention that things were a little off with Katherine before the last rose ceremony, but he’s hopeful.
Shortly after that segment, we got to see Zach go on a 1 on 1 date with Kaity. He took her to explore the city. At one point, Zach told her fun facts about himself, and she loved it. Zach told the private cams, “Kaity is very kind and good with people.”
Kaity told the private cams, “Zach seems like the perfect man. There’s nothing wrong with him.” They went on to write each other poems. Zach read her his very sweet poem about her. She loved it, and they kissed. She did the same thing with her poem. He loved it, and they kissed again.
It was revealed that Ariel, Charity, Gabi and Katherine were selected for the group date. Katherine told the private cams that she was very upset she didn’t get the 1 on 1 date and teared up.
During the second half of Kaity and Zach’s date, they talked over drinks. Zach asked her, “What do you want out of this?” Kaity said, “I want a family and stability. A man that will be there for me. I want this more than anything.” After that, Kaity went on to tell Zach about how her dad left them when she was young. He tried to come back into her life at age 16, but it was basically too late by that time because he had missed so much.
Her step father also left her during the 8th grade. So, she said she lost two father figures in her life and teared up. Zach said Kaity, “It’s ok. Just know that I care about you. I got you.” Zach told the private cams, “For Kaity to share that shows strength, and that’s pretty special.” He gave Kaity a rose, and they kissed. Then, they went swimming. Kaity told the private cams, “I love Zach. I just need a little more time to be able to tell him.”
At this point, there was a Greer update. She told the private cams, “I quarantined for 6 days, and I feel great. I’m looking forward to telling Zach all the things I’ve been waiting to tell him.”
Next, up was the group date footage with: Ariel, Charity, Gabi and Katherine. Zach took them to a theatre where they met a magician. He blew them away with a heart in the hand trick. He read Gabi’s mind and freaked her out. He also read Ariel’s mind about heartbreak. He read Charity’s mind about infidelity being the reason her last relationship didn’t work, and she teared up. Katherine confessed that she has thought about giving up on this process and started crying saying, “Something keeps telling me to hang in there.”
During the afterparty, Zach thanked the women for opening up earlier. Then, he talked 1 on 1 with Ariel. She talked about her family and told Zach, “I felt like I could open because I got so much support from you,” and they kissed. Zach told the private cams, “I can see something really special with Ariel.”
Zach talked with Charity. She told Zach, “That was a heavy group date for me. My fear is not with you, but the process. This is a risk I’m willing to take. I have no doubt with you. None at all.” Zach said,”That means a lot. I see a possible future with you,” and they kissed. Zach told the private cams, “My conversation with Charity went incredibly well.”
Gabi revealed to the other women that the magician upset her because he told her she confuses people, and she was worried that she might have confused Zach. Zach talked with Gabi. She told him how the magician made her very emotional. Zach basically told her, she’s fine. She said, “That’s a relief because I definitely want you to meet my family.” Then, they hugged and kissed. Gabi told the private cams, “Zach is so understanding, and we get each other.”
Zach talked with Kat aka Katherine. Zach told her that her answers with the magician earlier did make him feel uncertain because she told him, “I think I want Zach to meet my family and thought about quitting.” Katherine told Zach,”I really feel good about us, and I would never walk away from that, but I was being honest about how I was feeling. I’m willing to go through whatever to be with you.” Zach said, “I do feel better about us now,” and they kissed.
Zach went on to give Gabi the group date rose. Katherine started crying again saying to Gabi, “Obviously, I’m happy for you, but it makes me feel unsure again.”
After all of that, we finally got the return of Greer moment. Zach and Greer greeted each other with a big hug. She revealed that she’s been gone for three weeks while getting over Covid. Greer told Zach, “I do see something with us, and I was wondering where you’re at.” Zach said, “Other connections have grown.”
Greer said,”I would be more than happy for you to meet my family.” Zach told her, “I don’t feel 100 percent confident in giving you a hometown rose at this time, and I don’t want to string you along.” Greer teared up and said, “I completely understand. I know we were robbed of time. I appreciate you being so honest, and I really did enjoy our time together.” They hugged. Zach walked her out. Greer told the private cams, “I thought maybe I could play catch up, but that was just not the case, and all I could do was say good bye” with tears in her eyes.
After the sad Greer segment, we got some 1 on 1 date footage with Zach and Brooklyn. He took her to ride bikes. They climbed up a tower, talked and kissed, and things seemed to go really well. Then, they hit up a huge Spa bath house. It was like an olympic sized jacuzzi, and they took a dip in it with a lot of other people. Zach and Brooklyn talked and then kissed in front of everyone in the jacuzzi pool
During the second half of Zach and Brooklyn’s date, they talked over drinks. Brooklyn talked about her family and upbringing. She revealed that her grandfather raised her when her father left. She told Zach, “I really do a see a future with you, and I want to introduce you to my family.”
Zach said, “I appreciate you opening up like this. I need a moment to think.” Zach told the private cams that he wasn’t feeling 100 percent confident about his relationship with Brooklyn and didn’t want to meet her family if he wasn’t 100 percent confident in them.
Then, Zach went on to tell Brooklyn he’s not fully confident and sure about her. “You deserve a love that I can’t give you. I’m so sorry.” Brooklyn said, “Don’t be sorry. Your honesty is something I really appreciate about you.”
Then, he walked her out and told her, “I do want the best for you.” Brooklyn said, “I know, and the time we had felt so great.” Brooklyn told the private cams with tears in her eyes, “I feel like I was ready to find love for sure. To be able to feel those feelings again was good.” The other girls were shocked to see Brooklyn’s bags being taken away.
At the rose ceremony, Zach gave: Ariel and Charity a rose to join Kaity and Gabi who received roses earlier this episode. That meant poor Katherine didn’t get a rose and had to join Greer and Brooklyn who were sent home earlier in this episode.
Zach walked Katherine out and told her, “Our relationship changed over the last couple of weeks, and I couldn’t see a confident future for us.” Katherine said, “I’m hurt that you don’t feel the same as me. I tried. I really did.” Zach said, ” I just had to go with the feeling I had in my gut and that’s on me, not you.” Katherine said, “Ok.” Katherine told the private cams with tears in her eyes, “I gave this man my entire heart. It’s just not fair.” And that was tonight’s show, guys. Next week is time for hometown dates. We’ll see you there.
