New The Voice April 17, 2023 Episode Preview Revealed

Hey, “The Voice” fans. We’ve got some super great news for you guys ,today, because FOX will get back to serving up new, The Voice competition footage tonight, April 17, 2023. In last week’s episode, they took a break from that to show best-of footage from this season, but tonight, it’s back to the competition footage, and we’ve got some new preview information for it.

FOX served up an official press release for tonight’s new episode 12 of The Voice’s current season 23. So, we will certainly use it to deliver this preview session. Let’s get in to it.

In tonight’s new, April 17, 2023 episode, you guys are going to see the first round of the Knockouts rounds. In the Knockouts rounds, the coaches/judges will pair up two of their singers to perform individually against each other. Then, the judges/coaches will select one of them to advance to the next round, which is the Playoffs round.

Each coach judge will only get one chance to steal a singer that has been eliminated in this Knockouts round. Country music legend Reba McEntire will be featured in tonight’s new episode as a Mega Mentor. She will help the contents get ready for their Knockouts round performances.

NBC’s official description for tonight’s new, April 17, 2023 episode 12 of The Voice season 23 reads like this, “THE KNOCKOUTS PREMIERE. Country superstar Reba McEntire is enlisted as Mega Mentor to help prepare the artists for the Knockouts. The coaches pair two artists to perform individually against each other, then select a winner to move on to the Playoffs. The pressure is on as each coach will only have one steal in the Knockouts.”

Also, we need to mention that this Knockouts round will feature 24 contestants. There are 4 who actually already made it through to the Playoffs rounds by receiving a Playoffs pass from their coach/judge during the Battle rounds.

NBC did release a new preview clip of one of the performances that will be featured in tonight’s new episode. It features contestants Cait Martin singing Whitney Houston’s “All The Man That I Need” and Kala Banham singing The Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris” song for a spot on Team Kelly Clarkson.

Blake Shelton said he heard a lot of sharp notes in Cait’s performance. He wondered if it’s nerves. He said, “Kala had a very passionate performance. A lot of emotion in there and a lot of dynamics.” He would pick Kala.

Niall Horan said he was impressed that Cait took on a Whitney Houston song. He told her, “You absolutely smashed it.” He told Kala, “I really like your storytelling ability. It’s just insane.” He would lean towards choosing Kala.

Chance The Rapper revealed that he was really impressed with Cait’s Whitney Houston performance. He told her, “You took that round by the throat. It’s Cait all the way.” Kelly Clarkson told Cait that she really did a great job, and that Kala is one of her favorite storytellers. NBC’s press release confirmed that The Voice is brand new tonight, April 17, 2023, and it will hit the air at approximately 7 pm central standard time.
