New 20/20 April 21 & 28, 2023 Episodes Not Airing Due To LIVE Basketball & Football
Hey, “20/20” fans. Unfortunately, we have some really bad news that we need to run by you guys. We’ve just learned that your favorite news show 20/20 is being put on the back burner for at least the next two weeks that we know of. That’s right, guys. You’re going to have to wait longer than expect to see the next, new episode of 20/20.
According to our sources, ABC is planning to finally air another new episode of 20/20 on Thursday night, May 4, 2023 in the 9 pm central standard time slot. So, certainly be sure to check back on that very important date and time. We should get more details on it by that time and also find out why they’re airing it on a Thursday night because we still don’t know why that is.
Actually, we’re hearing that ABC is going to air 20/20 on both Thursday and Friday nights when it comes back from this delay period in May. So, we’ll definitely have to give you more details on that when we get them.
In the meantime, ABC does have some alternate line of programming that they are sticking into 20/20’s vacant time slot tonight and next Friday night. According to the TV guide listings,ABC will be providing LIVE coverage of an NBA Basketball game that features the Cleveland Cavaliers taking on the New York Knicks.
ABC’s official description for their LIVE coverage of this NBA basketball game reads like this, “The Cavaliers and Knicks head to New York for Game 3 of their first-round series, deadlocked at 1-1. Cleveland responded to Game 1 by building a 20-point halftime lead en route to a 107-90 Game 2 victory. Darius Garland led the Cavs with 32 points.”
Next Friday night, April 28, 2023, ABC is going to provide LIVE coverage of the 2023 NFL Football draft. ABC’s official description for it reads like this, “2023 NFL Draft Rounds 2-3 LIVE. A panel of ABC analysts break down the picks teams make in Rounds 2 and 3 of the 2023 NFL draft. From Union Station in Kansas City, Mo.”
If any of you guys happen to also be pro basketball and football fans, you might still want to keep ABC on your watchlist tonight and next Friday night. On the other hand, if you’re not a pro basketball or pro football fan and only want to see new episodes of 20/20, you will most certainly want to find something else to do or watch tonight and next Friday night.
20/20’s current season 45 is averaging 2.802 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.34 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode, which aired last Friday night, April 14, 2023, drew in 2.768 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.27 ratings score.
Again, our sources tell us that ABC is planning to air another new episode of 20/20 on Thursday night, May 4, 2023 in the 9 pm central standard time slot. Then, they’re supposed to turn around and air another episode of 20/20 on Friday night, May 5, 2023 at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
