NCIS Hawaii Season 2 May 22, 2023 Episode 22 Is The Finale. Season 3 Is Happening
Hey, “NCIS: Hawaii” fans. We are back in action to let you guys know that tonight’s episode 22 was indeed the finale episode. So, the current season 2 of NCIS: Hawaii is officially wrapped up as of tonight. That means it will indeed be quite a while before you get to see a new episode of NCIS: Hawaii.
However, we do have some great news for you guys because we’re also on here, right now, to tell you that CBS did officially renew NCIS: Hawaii for a brand new season 2. That’s right, guys. NCIS: Hawaii will be delivering another slate of new episodes for you guys at some point in the future.
According to the folks over at Deadline.com, CBS actually gave NCIS: Hawaii a very early renewal along with the original NCIS show back in February 2023. So, CBS was very pleased and confident with NCIS: Hawaii’s season 2 performance.
Since a couple of CBS shows were renewed at the same time as NCIS: Hawaii, Amy Reisenbach who is the president of CBS Entertainment delivered a positive statement for all of their renewed shows during the renewal announcement saying, “This season CBS is continuing its winning tradition, delivering an unparalleled combination of top returning series and new hit shows that are entertaining huge audiences on both broadcast and streaming.
It is a testament to the stellar work being done by our best-in-class talent in front of and behind the camera that we have had yet another exceptional season, and I know we will only continue to build on this foundation of outstanding programming as we look ahead toward next fall.”
According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, NCIS: Hawaii season 2 averaged 5.022 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.35 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 21, which aired last Monday night, May 15, 2023, managed to draw in 4.945 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.34 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was episode 10 with 7.357 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 11 with 4.334 million LIVE viewers. The highest-rated episode was episode 10 with a 0.53 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 4 with a 0.28 ratings score.
We’re pretty sure those numbers are much higher after you include the numbers from the streaming platforms like Paramount+ and so on and so forth. But, just the LIVE numbers looked pretty solid. So, it’s definitely easy to see why CBS had no problems giving NCIS: Hawaii an early season 3 renewal.
