60 Minutes July 2, 2023 Episode Not New. It’s a Repeat. Preview Revealed

Hey,”60 Minutes” fans. We hope your weekend is going well. We’re back on here to let you know that CBS will be serving up another episode of 60 Minutes tonight, July 2, 2023. However, it will not be a new episode. Nope, it will be a repeat episode that features segments that have aired in the past.

For those of you who may not have seen these particular segments, it could be like watching a new episode. So, we are going to run a preview session for tonight’s repeat episode.

The folks over at CBS served up a new press release for this repeat episode of 60 Minutes. So, we’re going to certainly tell you what it has to say for this preview session. Let’s get to it.

The first description for tonight’s July 2, 2023 repeat episode of 60 Minutes reveals that CBS is going to re-air a segment titled, “THE STATE OF THE NAVY.” CBS’ official description for it reads like this: “As U.S.-China relations remain tense, Norah O’Donnell goes aboard the USS Nimitz, a United States Navy aircraft carrier operating southeast of Taiwan and China in the Western Pacific.

With rare access to the ship and its officers during a deployment, O’Donnell reports on the state of the Navy amid threats of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan – an important American ally. O’Donnell speaks with the commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, Admiral Samuel Paparo, at sea, and chief of naval operations, Admiral Mike Gilday, at the Pentagon.

The report includes candid discussion of U.S. contingency planning for Taiwan and how the U.S. is attempting to maintain readiness while keeping up with China’s rapid and remarkable naval and military build-up. This is a double-length segment.”

The second and final description for tonight’s July 2, 2023 repeat episode lets us know that CBS will re-air a segment titled, “ONLY IN AMERICA.”

CBS’ official description for this “Only In America” segment reads like this, “Sharyn Alfonsi profiles billionaire businessman Rocco Commisso and charts his unlikely rise from young immigrant in the Bronx to cable-TV magnate and outspoken owner of the pro soccer team in Florence, Italy. Alfonsi speaks to Commisso, whose street smarts and no-nonsense style has made him one of the most famous Americans in the land of his birth.”

CBS’ press release confirmed that “60 Minutes” will be a repeat episode tonight, July 2, 2023, and it’s scheduled to hit your TV sets, starting at approximately 6 pm central standard time.
