20/20 July 14, 2023 Episode Not New. It’s A Repeat. Preview Revealed
Hey, “20/20” fans. Happy Friday, guys. We’re back on here to let you know that ABC is going to serve up another repeat episode of 20/20 tonight, July 14, 2023. That’s right, guys. There will be no new episode this week either. However, some of you guys might not have seen this repeat episode that ABC is airing tonight. If that is the case, you might still want to check this one out.
We were able to get the official, ABC press release for tonight’s July 14, 2023 repeat episode. So, we’re going to use it to serve up a preview session of this repeat episode. Let’s get to it.
For starters, tonight’s repeat episode is officially titled, “Truth and Lies: The Family Manson.” It originally aired way, way back on March 17, 2017. In this repeat episode, the 20/20 team took a deep look at the gruesome crime sprees that were committed by Charles Manson and his cult of devoted followers.
Way back in 1969, Charles Manson’s followers killed seven people in 2 consecutive nights! One of the poor victims was actress Sharon Tate who was eight months pregnant at the time. These murders eliminated a sense of safety and security from many people across the country. One of the members of the cult Leslie Van Houten was released from prison after serving 53 years. The 20/20 sat down and had an interview with Leslie Van Houten in this episode.
This episode also featured interviews with Charles Manson in his last network television interview from prison, and former cult member Patricia Krenwinkel, who is serving a life sentence for the murders masterminded by Manson.
The documentary explored the crime scene footage and features interviews with law enforcement, first responders and the production crew who met Manson during his final TV interview. The special also featured interviews with Debra Tate, Sharon Tate’s sister; family and friends of the victims; actors who worked with Sharon; Mike Love of the Beach Boys, who met Manson before the killings; reporters who were in the courtroom during the trial and more.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s July 14,2023 repeat episode of 20/20 reads like this,”On two consecutive nights in 1969, followers of cult leader Charles Manson kill seven people, including eight-month pregnant actress Sharon Tate. Interviews with Manson and former cult members Leslie Van Houten and Patricia Krenwinkel.”
ABC’s press release confirmed that 20/20 will be a repeat episode tonight, July 14, 2023, and it’s scheduled to hit your TV sets, starting at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
