20/20 July 28, 2023 Episode Not New. It’s A Repeat. Preview Revealed
Hey, “20/20” fans. We’re back on here to let you guys know that another episode of 20/20 is headed your way tonight, July 28, 2023. Before you get all excited though, we must warn you that this episode will be a repeat episode. It’s not new. So, some of you might want to reconsider tuning in for it. We do have some preview information for this rerun episode so you can figure out if you still want to check it out or not.
We were able to track down the official press release for tonight’s July 28, 2023 repeat episode. So, we’re going to certainly see what it has to reveal right now. Let’s get into it.
The first piece of information we have for tonight’s, July 28, 2023 repeat episode of 20/20 is that it’s officially titled, “Home Sweet Murder.” It originally aired back on February 25, 2022.
In tonight’s repeat episode, the 20/20 team took a deep look at a story about a woman named Diane Staudte who was convicted of killing off her family via poisoning. Mark and Shaun Staudte got sick and died within just a few months of each other. It seemed like a stroke of bad luck with these two. However, when Sarah Staudte came down with the same sickness and had to go to the hospital, Diane Staudte’s family, friends and investigators started to get real suspicious.
In this episode, contributing anchor Debora Roberts did a prison interview with Diane. During it, Diane talked about the sinister plot to poison her husband and two kids. She claims that outside influences forced her to falsely confess to the killings even though the police didn’t actually have any evidence to support their suspicions.
This episode also featured: recordings of police interrogations with Diane and her daughter Rachel Staudte, who pleaded guilty to helping her mother in her disturbing scheme to pick the family off one by one. It featured an interview with Sarah from the ABC News archives about how she is healing after her mother and sister’s betrayal.
There’s interviews with Jeff Sippy, the family’s pastor who tipped off police to the suspicious pattern; detective Neil McAmis, lead investigator on the case; Charles Alexander, Mark’s bandmate; Dr. Essam Elkady, who treated Sarah in the hospital; Michael Staudte, Mark’s brother; and other neighbors and friends of the family.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s, July 28, 2023 repeat episode of 20/20 reads like this, “20/20′ FEATURES INTERVIEW WITH DIANE STAUDTE, MOTHER AND MASTERMIND BEHIND SINISTER PLOT TO POISON HER FAMILY MEMBERS.”
If any of you guys happened to have missed that particular repeat episode of 20/20 when it originally hit the air, you might still want to hit up ABC tonight to check it out. If you did see this repeat episode when it first aired and you have no desire to watch it again, you will definitely want to ditch ABC tonight during that time and get some other plans in the works.
Again, ABC’s press release confirmed that 20/20 will be a repeat episode again tonight, July 28, 2023, and it’s scheduled to show up on your TV screens, starting at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
