The Challenge USA August 24, 2023 Eliminated Alyssa Lopez (Recap)
Hey, “The Challenge USA” fans. Tonight, August 24, 2023, another new episode of The Challenge USA’s current season 2 did indeed hit the air, and another very unlucky contestant did get sent packing at the end of it.
Tonight’s new episode kicked off with some new conversation footage. Chris was seen telling Monty, “This isn’t Big Brother.” Monty said, “Who said it was?” Chris said, “You’re playing like it.” Apparently, Monty was apart of a vote flip on Amanda in the last episode. So, there was some arguing going on about that.
Wes expressed to the private cams that he was upset about the Amanda vote because he was blindsided by it. He said, “I’m glad the vote wasn’t flipped to get me out, but they will try to do it to me eventually.” Wes revealed a strategy of being fun and entertaining to keep the target off him.
After all of that, host TJ Lavin showed up with the new team challenge. It was titled, “Unboxed.” During it, each team member had to carry a giant heavy box with puzzle pieces inside of it through a forest with a finish line. If they wanted to lighten their weight, they had to complete a puzzle inside one of the boxes at puzzle stations that were located throughout the forest.
The first team to cross the finish line, won. The Green team crossed finish line first for the win. So, they were safe from elimination and got to pick who to send to the elimination challenge. They ended up picking Cassidy and Chris after much deliberation.
Some conversation footage revealed Tyler telling the private cams, “I would love to work with Alyssa S in this game. She’s a cool person.” The vets loved that the Big Brother and Survivor people were going after each other. The vets decided to really split up their secret votes to throw people off.
At the elimination challenge, the secret vote ball hopper brought up Alyssa L’s name. So, she had to compete against Cassidy in the elimination challenge. Chris was safe since no man’s name was drawn from the ball hopper machine.
The elimination challenge was titled, “Block Heads.” During it, Alyssa L and Cassidy were locked in individual cages. They had to use their body weight to roll them and collect four flags. Then, they had to use the four flags to retrieve a code to unlock the cage and honk a horn for the win.
Cassidy won, but it was a tight battle. It came down to Cassidy just being a little quicker to retrieve that code to unlock her cage and honk the horn. So, poor Alyssa L was eliminated. She told the private cams, “I gave it my all. That’s all I can do. I’m rooting for Cassidy.” In the defect twist, Cassidy chose to stay with her Blue team.
