New 48 hours Season 37 September 16, 2023 Premiere Episodes Preview Revealed

Hey, “48 Hours” fans. We’ve got some great news for you guys in this article. After months of waiting, the brand new season 37 of 48 Hours will finally start up tonight, September 16, 2023 with not 1, but 2 new episodes.

That’s right, guys. CBS is going to serve up 2, new episodes of 48 Hours to begin its new season 37 tonight. In the first hour, you’re going to see the premiere episode 1. In the second hour, you’re going to see the new episode 2, and we’ve got some new preview information for both of them.

CBS served up a new, official press releases for both episodes 1 and 2. So, we will certainly see what those have to say right now. Let’s get to it.

First off, we’ve got an official title for this new episode 1. It’s called, “The Gilgo Beach Serial Killings.” In the first episode 1, the 48 Hours team will take a deep look at a story about an alleged murderer named Rex Heuermann. They’ve uncovered chilling, new details about him.

American reporter Erin Moriarty handled the reporting duties for this episode and case. She has been covering it since 2010. She will do an exclusive interview with Muriel Henriquez. Muriel worked with Rex Heuermann at his RH Consultants & Associates company. This will be the 6th edition of 48 Hours’ coverage of the Gildo Beach serial murders.

CBS’ official description for episode 1 reads like this, “48 HOURS correspondent Erin Moriarty uncovers chilling new details about alleged killer Rex Heuermann in “The Gilgo Beach Serial Killings.”

Moriarty, who has been covering the Gilgo Beach case since 2010, has an exclusive interview with Muriel Henriquez who worked with Heuermann at his company, RH Consultants & Associates.

The new hour is 48 HOURS’ sixth edition of the investigation into the Gilgo Beach serial murders. Starting in 2011, 48 HOURS has featured multiple exclusive interviews, including the first interview with victim Amber Costello’s roommate, Dave Schaller, who police say provided a description of one of Costello’s most persistent clients and the vehicle he drove.

Those descriptions would ultimately lead to the biggest break in the case – and Heuermann’s arrest.” Episode 1 is scheduled to hit the air, starting at approximately 8 pm central standard time tonight, September 16, 2023.

The new episode 2 of 48 Hours season 37 is officially titled, “The Night of the Idaho Student Murders.” In the new episode 2, the 48 Hours team will take a deep look at a story about a man named Bryan Kohberger.

There’s a case against him for the murder of four University of Idaho college students, which took place back on November 13, 2022. Bryan Kohberger is charged with killing Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin. A judge entered a plea of not guilty on Bryan Kohberger’s behalf.

American reporter Peter VanSant handled the reporting duties for this case and episode. He will interview Steve and Kristi Goncalves, parents of Kaylee Goncalves, who share new details about the night of the murders and the investigation. The Goncalves want the public to be aware of the brutality of the crime and feel the best path to justice is through transparency, so they’re sharing information from their own investigation.

This episode will also feature interviews with investigative journalist Howard Blum and CBS News consultant Bryanna Fox, a professor of criminology at the University of South Florida, who offer insight into the case and what Kohberger’s defense team may present at trial.

CBS’ official description for this new episode 2 reads like this, “New information about the case against Bryan Kohberger for the Nov. 13, 2022 deaths of four University of Idaho students.”

CBS’ press release confirmed that this new episode 2 of 48 Hour’s current season 37 is indeed scheduled to hit your TV screens tonight, September 16, 2023, starting at approximately 9 pm central standard time.
